The theme: What is your name?

Aims: 1. presenting of the lesson What is your name?

2. presenting of the 5 letters of the English alphabet.

3. developing the children's phonetic and lexical abilities.

4. teaching how to greet and introduce yourself.

5. bringing up the children's interest in learning English.

Visual aids: English book, letter cards, word cards, slides

Procedure of the lesson:

I. Organization moment.

- Good morning, children!

- Good morning, teacher! We are glad to see you!

- I am glad to see you, too.

- Sit down please!

II. Phonetic work: Now, we will learn English alphabet. At first, write the following 5 letters Aa[ei] Bb[bi:] Cc[si:] Dd[di:] Ee[i:]

Then, repeat after me and match the letters in order:

1 Cc [di:]

2 Ee [bi:]

3 Dd [si:]

4 Aa [i:]

5 Bb [ei:]

III. Lexical work: Learn topical words and remember them:

My-менің

Your-сенің

Name- есім

What- не кім қандай

Hello-сәлем

Classroom expressions:

Listen!-тыңда!

Good! -жарайсың!

Stand up!-тур!

Sit down!-отыр!

Good bye!-сау бол!

IV. Divide into three groups: The groups are named A. B. C. Every group must find the correct words from mixing letters.

V. Sing a song:

Well, Children! Let's sing song.

Hello, hello. Hello, hello

How are you? How are you?

I am fine thank you, I am fine thank you.

Oh! Thank you, oh! Thank you.

VI. Listen and repeat the dialogue:

-Hello! My name is Colin.

-And my name is Carol. What is your name?

-My name is Omar. All of children stand by round. At first greeting and then introduce yourself to others. This work goes on in such order.

-What is your name?

P2: -Hello, my name is------

-What is your name?

P3: -Hello, my name is------

Let's go on!

T: I am glad to meet you!

VIII. Conclusions:

Well, children! You are interested in English well. You can learn how to greet with each other and introduce yourself. In short, you are OK!

Home task: Learn by heart the letters and topical words.

Do exercise 8. Instead of names write 5 classmates' name.
