Пояснительная записка

Данный урок предназначен для учащихся 6 классов в качестве обобщения знаний по теме , совершенствования навыков в области основных видов речевой деятельности по английскому языку. Учебное пособие - New Millenium English-6. Н.Н.Деревянко, С.В.Жаворонкова.

Использование ИКТ (упражнения в РРоint и в Smart Notebook) способствует оптимизации учебного процесса, повышению мотивации в изучении языка. Форма урока - разговорный практикум - позволяет осуществлять коммуникативный подход к обучению, что учит ребят пользоваться полученными знаниями и умениями в конкретной ситуации, выражать определенное мнение, способствует формированию вкуса в одежде, развитию воображения и коммуникативных навыков.

Unit-6 . Lesson - "Looks count. What we wear"

Objectives:-to develop lexical and grammar skills through different tasks;

-to develop skills of fluent speaking, language guess , to practise extensive listening skills;

-to develop students' creative abilities by means of dramatization, personal styles.

Equipment: recording, a Power Point presentation , an exercise in Smart Notebook programme.

Procedure:

I. Introduction.

Hello, dear boys and girls! I'm glad to see you!

Let's begin our lesson to topic "Looks count. What we wear". We are going to speak about what you like to wear and what you are like saying the colour test. Children, be active , try to show your knowledge of English, please.

II. Warming up.

Answer my questions:

  • What do you usually wear?

  • What clothes do you usually wear at school?

- What clothes do you usually wear at home?

  • What clothes do you usually wear when you go to the party?

  • What clothes do you usually wear when you go to the disco?

  • And in conclusion, what clothes do you wear in any situation : everyday clothes and a uniform ?

III. Main part of the lesson.

1.Answer my questions:

-Do you wear a school uniform?

-Would you like to wear a school uniform? Why?- Yes, I would because it's comfortable/ OK.

No, I wouldn't because it's boring/uncomfortable

2.And now check your homework.

Describe your pictures of school uniform, please.

3. Listening.

Ex.1. P.72. Listen to the conversation and find the girl's mother in the picture.

-What is her name?

-Is she tall or short?

- What is she wearing?

4.Let's talk. Look at the screen and describe the clothes of these models. What clothes are they wearing? For example : Ted is wearing a white shirt and black trousers. (a picture 1)

-Steve is wearing sport clothes: a T-shirt , shorts and ( Adidas) trainers.

-Patty looks cool. She is wearing a long dress, a belt and shoes with high heels.

-Alice is going to the swimming pool. She is wearing a light-blue swimsuit.

- Duncan is wearing a elegant grey suit, a white shirt, a tie and black shoes.

-And at last Amanda comes here in a beautiful black blouse , white trousers and white shoes .

5.And what clothes do people of different professions usually wear?

They wear specific clothes, don't they? (a P.Point presentation)

For example: What does a pilot usually wear?-

A pilot usually wears a dark blue suit with gold buttons, a blue shirt, a blue tie, a blue cap and black shoes.

-What does a cook wear?

A cook wears a white shirt, white trousers, a white and a white cookcap.

-What does a tennis player wear?

A tennis player usually wears a white T-shirt, a white skirt or shorts, a cap and white trainers/sneakers.

-What does a policeman wear?

A policeman usually wears a blue shirt with a blue tie, blue trousers, a blue jacket and a policeman's cap.

-What does a ballet dancer wear?

A ballet dancer usually wears a ballet dress or skirt , ballet shoes- pointe (French)

6. Children, read the proverbs to our topic.

-The tailor makes the man.

-People treat you according to your clothes.

Name equivalents in Russian.

-Одежда красит человека.

-По одежке встречают , по уму провожают.

Try to explain the meanings of the proverbs.

7. Now let's speak about what you are like saying the colour test. - ex.1a, 1b. p.68.

-What's your favourite colour?

-What does the colour test say?

-Do you agree with the test?

Interview each other, please.

7.Let's find opposities to these adjectives. (an ex. In Smart programme)

beautiful - ugly ; kind - angry ; cheerful - boring ; friendly - unfriendly ;

clever - stupid ; honest - dishonest.
