Тема урока: «Healthy Way of Life»

Цели:

Обучающие:

  • формирование представления о здоровом образе жизни;

  • анализ собственного образ жизни, вредных привычек и полезных для здоровья видов деятельности;

  • формирование навыка восприятия речи на слух и говорения;

  • формирование навыка чтения с пониманием общего содержания прочитанного;

  • формирование коммуникативной компетентности средствами английского языка в рамках запланированной темы.

Воспитательные:

  • формирование коммуникативной компетенции;

  • воспитание ответственности и бережного отношения к своему здоровью;

  • формирование опыта конструктивного, учебного диалога (на этапе работы в группе);

  • воспитание активности и заинтересованности студентов.

Развивающие:

  • развитие фонетического слуха, памяти, мышления, языковой догадки, познавательного интереса;

  • развитие устойчивого интереса к изучению иностранного языка.

Вид урока: урок изучения нового материала.

Оборудование: компьютер, проектор, презентация

Оснащение урока: презентация "Healthy Way of Life.



Ход урока:

1. Организационная часть. Проверка готовности студентов к уроку: - явка студентов;

2. Начало урока. Вступительное слово преподавателя:

T: - Good morning, everybody! I'm very glad to see you at today's lesson. I am hope you are fine today.

Today we'll discuss what helps us to be fit, healthy and strong. And the theme of our lesson is « « Healthy Way of Life». ». We are going to tell about Healthy Way of Life and why it is so important for you. You will know something interesting and new for you. I hope that our co-operation will be important and useful for you and for me. You see that your health is in your own hands. Thousands years ago ancient Greeks said: «The first wealth is health. Health is the «best wealth».

7. T.: You see that it is very difficult to follow healthy way of life. But do not forget "Health is the best wealth". And what can help you to be healthy? What should people do, and what they shouldn't in order to stay healthy? Write down in your copybooks what should people do and what they shouldn't! (Слайды 7-9)

Health

"Health is above wealth", the proverb says and it is really true. You cannot buy health for money. To be healthy many people go in for sports and do daily physical exercises. Everybody should take care for his/her health.

But due to different causes sometimes people fall ill, they don't feel well.

If you have a pain in your body or a toothache, a sore throat, a bad cough or some other physical ailment, you should make an appointment with a doctor and consult (see) a doctor (a dentist, a surgeon, a therapeutist, etc.) at his office.

But if you are too ill (sick) and cannot make an appointment to see a doctor, you can call a doctor in. When the doctor comes, he usually asks you: "What's troubling you?" or "What's the matter with you?"

Then he takes your temperature, tests your blood pressure, he listens to your heart and sounds your lungs. He examines the parts of your body where it hurts you. Sometimes he gives an injection.

The doctor prescribes you some medicine and gives a prescription. At the chemist's they make up the prescribed medicine and you take it twice or three times a day according to the doctor's prescription. He usually forbids an ill person to go out. For instance, if a person falls ill with the flu, it's necessary to keep to bed (stay in bed) because this disease can cause serious complications. Complications after this disease can be worse than the disease itself.

In some cases if you need more thorough examination, a treatment or an operation, you must go to a hospital. If you are too ill and weak, they take you there in an ambulance
