Открытый урок по теме: «English Homes» (Английские дома)

Урок проводится в кабинете информатики. На уроке используются презентации "English homes", "A House for Mr. Smith" сделанные в приложении «Power Point», кроссворд в графическом редакторе Paint.

Цель урока: формирование навыков разговорной речи

Задачи урока:

1. Совершенствовать навыки логической интерпретации изученного материала.

2. Активизировать лексико-грамматический материал (конструкция there is\ there are) в устной речи.

3. Развивать поликультурную компетенцию учащихся через знакомство с организацией быта и уклада жизни английских семей.

4. Развивать информационно-коммуникативную компетенцию.

5. Проконтролировать умение учащихся употреблять лексику по теме: «The place we live in» в практической ситуации.

6. Воспитывать в детях желание помогать другим людям.

Ход урока:

1.Организационный момент.

2. Представление темы урока.

Учитель: At the beginning of the lesson I want you to guess it's topic. Let's play a letter game. Name the letters of the English alphabet, please.

(учащиеся хором называют тему урока)

Учитель: You are quite right. This is the topic of our lesson today.

3. Фонетическая разминка

Учитель: Let's revise the words on the topic "house" and have a phonetic exercise. Please, listen to the beginning of the rhyme and try to complete them with the proper word. (Учащиеся должны продолжить рифмовку нужным словом по теме «Дом. Квартира. Мебель»)

"A little grey mouse

lives in a …" (house)

"Let's probe

And buy a nice …" (wardrobe)

"Go and switch on

The light in the …" (kitchen)

"Along the bridge

We carried a …" (fridge)

"I'll take a new broom

and clean my … (bedroom)

Учитель: Listen to the poem.

A little grey mouse

Has a hole for a house

And a snail

Has a little shell

But, I have a floor

And walls and a door,

And the door has a little bell.

-учащиеся слушают стихотворение в записи

Активизация изученной лексики

4. Чтение письма.

(Учащиеся пересаживаются за компьютеры. Читают письмо, полученное по электронной почте, в котором Мистер Смит из Лондона просит купить ему квартиру в России )

Учитель: We've got an e-mail massage from Mr. Smith. Let' read it. Take your seats near the computers. Click the icon "e-mail".

"Dear friends,

I'm Mr. Smith. I am a businessman from London. Every year I visit Russia on business. That's why I want to buy a house in Russia. But it's a pity; I'm very busy and can't do it myself. I know that you are good children and study well at school. I think you can help me to choose a wonderful house in Russia, because you've learned much about houses". Please, help me. I rely on you very much.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Yours,

Mr. Smith."

Учитель: - Dear children are you ready to help him?

• What does he ask us to do?

• Where does he want to have a house?

(Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы:

-Готовы ли вы помочь Мистеру Смиту?

- Что он просит вас сделать?

- Где он хочет купить дом?

Возвращаются за парты.)

5. Просмотр презентации «English homes»

Учитель: Mr. Smith sends us some information about English homes. Let's see it.

(Мистер Смит прислал нам информацию об английских домах. Давайте посмотрим презентацию.)

5. Повторение слов по теме.

Учитель: If we want to buy a good house for Mr. Smith we must know the meaning of the words. Read the sentences and guess what is it.

(Для того, чтобы помочь Мистеру Смиту купить новый дом, идёт закрепление знаний слов учащимися. Ученики вытягивают карточку, читают вслух, называют предмет)

- A place where we can make or watch a fire. (A fireplace)

- A room where we can wash ourselves. (A bathroom)

- A room where there is a fridge, a sink and a cooker. (A kitchen)

- A place where we leave our coats and shoes when we come home. (A hall)

- A room where people sleep. (A bedroom)

- We can lock it with a key. (A door)

- We lock the door with it. (A key)

- We can read books or watch TV-set in this room. (A sitting-room)

- A thing where we can sit on or sleep. (A sofa)

- We can sit in it in front of the fire or TV -set. (An armchair)

- We can keep food, vegetables and fruit in it. (A fridge)

- A thing where we put cups, plates or glasses. (A cupboard)

- We can see them on the windows. (Curtains)

- People wash the dishes in it. (A sink)

- We put there our clothes. (A wardrobe)

- A man can see himself in it. (A mirror)

7. Разговорная речь.

(На экран поочерёдно выводится изображение гостиной, спальни, кабинета, кухни, столовой, ванной. Ученики отвечают на вопросы по картинкам.)

Выводим на экран рисунок1.

-What is it? (It is a living room)

-What can we do in the living room? (We can read books or watch TV-set in this room)

Выводим на экран рисунок 2.

- What room is it? (It is a bedroom)

-What can we do in this room? (We can sleep in this room)

Выводим на экран рисунок 3.

-What room is it? (It is a study)

- What does it mean "bedroom"? (It is a place where we sleep)

Выводим на экран рисунок 4.

-What room is it? (It is a kitchen)

- What does it mean "kitchen"? (It is a place where we cook breakfast, dinner and supper.)

Выводим на экран рисунок 5.

-What room is it? (It is a dining room)

• What can we do in this room? (We can eat in this room)

Выводим на экран рисунок 6.

-What room is it? (It is a bathroom)

- What does it mean "bathroom"? (It is a room where we can wash ourselves)

8. Физминутка.

My hands upon my head I place

On my shoulders, on my face

Then I put them in front of me

And gently clap: one, two, three.

9. Представление проектов "Дом для Мистера Смита"

Учитель: I know that you've prepared the projects "A house for Mr. Smith". You are welcome dear boys and girls. Let's see your projects.

(Учащиеся по одному садятся за компьютер и рассказывают о комнате, которую они создали для Мистера Смита при выполнении домашней работы)

10. Продолжить пословицы и поговорки

Учитель: Well, my dear, do you know what they usually say about their homes?

Ученики: "East or west home is best" (В гостях хорошо, а дома лучше)

"There is no place like home" (Нет лучше места, чем дом)

"My house is my castle" (Мой дом - моя крепость)

11. Аудирование

(Ребята прослушивают аудиокассету с пятью текстами, в которых даётся описание комнат. Ученики определяют, о какой комнате идёт речь и ставят соответствующий номер в графу таблицы)

Учитель: Now you must listen the information about English homes and you have to think what it can be.

1. There is no TV-set in this room. There is no bookcase in it. But we can see a wardrobe. There are two beds, two bedside-tables with lamps on them.

2. This room is large and comfortable. There is a fireplace in it. We can see two soft armchairs and a sofa in it. There is a beautiful carpet on the floor. We can watch a TV-set in this room.

3. In this room we can cook and keep food in the fridge. There is a table here and some chairs around it. We can wash the dishes here in the sink.

4. When our friends come we can lay the table in the middle of this room. There is a cupboard usually in the corner and lovely curtains on the window. We usually have dinner or supper here, but we can't cook in this room.

5. This is the place where we can take a shower. We usually wash our hands and faces or clean teeth in the morning here. Toilet is usually in this room, too.

(Используя навыки, полученные на уроках информатики учащиеся заполняют строки кроссворда на компьютере)

13.Подведение итогов урока.

Домашнее задание: To write an answer to Mr. Smith and describe a house, that we bought for him. (Написать письмо Мистеру Смиту и описать дом, который мы для него купили)
