Сценарий проведения конкурса чтецов на английском языке целью которого является не только совершенствование выразительного рассказывания стихотворения но и пробуждение интереса к поэтическим произведениям стран изучаемого языка.В материале даются стихотворения на английском языке для разных классов. Дети выбирают стихи по своему уровню знания языка.В конце участникам конкурса вручаются грамоты и поощрительные призы и подарки.В ходе мероприятия  дети могут так же выступить себе понравившимися сти...

Цель: 1)совершенствование навыков выразительного рассказывания стихотворений;

2)актуализация лексического и грамматического материала;

3) развитие интереса к поэтическим произведениям стран изучаемого языка.

Оборудование: портреты писателей и поэтов; грамоты и подарки для поощрения лучших чтецов.

Ход мероприятия:

Good morning, boys and girls!

Good morning now.

Wake, body, wake, mind!

Work, play, seek, find,

Eat breakfast, dinner too,

Wash, brush, sing, dance, and do!

Good morning now.

We shall recite English poems and find out who can do it very well.

It is time to start. Try to recite the poems artistically and in a natural manner. We shall clap our hands after each poem. I hope you will enjoy your English.

Kitty and Betty

Kitty's house is in the country,

Betty's house is in the city.

Kitty likes to stay with Betty,

Betty likes to stay with Kitty.

Betty likes the country best,

Kitty likes the busy city.

That is a lucky thing

For Betty and for Kitty.

The weather

When the weather is wet

We must not fret.

When the weather is cold

We must not scold.

When the weather is warm

We must not storm.

But be thankful together

Whatever the weather.

Blackbirds

There were two blackbirds,

Sitting on a hill,

The one named Jack,

The other named Jill;

Book, Look!

They need much care.

When you are reading them,

Be good to them and fair!

Use books-marks, children,

And don`t turn a book

Upon its clear face.

Remember, children, then:

Books are meant to read.

Not cut or colour them-

No, really never indeed!

Some people live in the country

Where the houses are very small,

Secret Ambitions

People sometimes say to me:

«Tell me, what do you want to be?»

I usually answer, «I don`t know»,

But it isn`t really so:

I want to win an Olympic race,

I want to see the Earth from space,

I want to travel to Timbuktu,

I want to be rich and famous, too.

I want to star on Hollywood`s screen,

I want to invent a new machine,

I want to be very clever and wise,

I want to win the Nobel prize.

But most all, I want to be.

I wish I could remember that first day,
First hour, first moment of your meeting me,
If bright or dim the season, it might be
Summer or Winter for aught I can say;

Big Ban

Big Ban is high above the town,

It is a symbol of the Crown.

Its sight is handsome in the noon,

At night, it's shining like a moon.

It has as many as four faces.

The deep voices heard in many places

Its work is industrious, in fact.

Sometimes its stroke is like a call
