Презентація членами комунікативного клубу творчого проекту «Хеллоувін»

Мета:

Основною метою навчання учнів англійської мови є: пробудження у них інтересу та формування позитивного ставлення до англійської мови як засобу спілкування; формування елементарних навичок і вмінь усно-мовного спілкування англійською мовою на рівні доступному дітям, враховуючи їх мовний досвід на рідній мові і їх мовні потреби; демонстрація того, що процес оволодіння мовою іншого народу - захоплююча, але кропітка щоденна праця, що вимагає зусиль з боку учня; розвиток творчих здібностей дітей, їх прагнення до пізнання навколишнього світу за допомогою спілкування іноземною мовою, вираження своїх думок на іноземній мовою і виховання гармонійно розвиненої і освіченої особистості.

Завдання:

• залучити учнів в освітній процес;

• розвинути комунікативні вміння вихованців;

• сприяти усвідомленню ними іноземної мови як інструменту пізнання світу і засоби спілкування;

• навчити дітей основним видам мовленнєвої діяльності;

• формувати почуття мови;

• сприяти накопиченню учнями знань про життя інших народів, їх культурі, науці, мистецтві;

• дати уявлення про культуру, історію та традиції країн досліджуваної мови, про роль рідної мови і культури в порівнянні з культурою інших народів;

• прищепити доброзичливе ставлення до оточуючих;

• сприяти вихованню хороших манер і ввічливої поведінки; розвивати почуття дружби та інтернаціоналізму.

Сценарій творчого проекту «Halloween»

Teacher: There are many countries on our planet, "Every country has its traditions and customs", says the English proverb. When we talk about English or British traditions, we go back into depth of the history, when neither England nor Britain existed as a national or geographical unit. Traditional holidays reflect the historical past of the country.

Today we'll speak about, one of the holidays celebrated by British and American children. It's Halloween."

Pupil 1: Halloween means "holy evening" and takes place on October, 31. Although it is a much more important festival in the United States than Britain, it is celebrated by many people in the UK. It is particularly connected with witches and ghosts.

Pupil 2 Хеллоуин отмечается каждый год 31 октября. Дети особенно любят этот праздник, не смотря на то, что школьные занятия в этот день не отменяются. Утром к школам стекаются странные существа в масках и живописных костюмах, ведь в большинстве школ устраиваются праздники с угощениями.

Pupil 3: In recent years children dressed in white sheets knock on doors at Halloween and ask if you would like a trick, or a treat. If you give them something nice, a treat, they go away. However, if you don't, they play a trick on you, such as making a lot of noise or spilling flour on your front doorstep!

Pupil 1 Но самое интересное начинается после уроков, когда дети в своих костюмах отправляются по домам выпрашивать сладости. Конечно хозяйки к этому дню запасаются чем-нибудь вкусным для этих гостей, но все же, придя в дом, полагается сказать: Trick or treat, что означает примерно «Угощение или шутка». Этой фразой посетители предупреждают хозяев, что если они не получат чего-нибудь вкусного, то сыграют над хозяевами какую-нибудь неприятную шутку.

Pupil 2: The story of Halloween goes all the way back to ancient times. For the Celts who lived in Britain and Ireland at that time, New Year began on November. The night before, a festival was held to mark the change from summer to winter.

Pupil 3 Возможно, все эти символы пришли из далеких времен, когда люди, жившие на территории Англии, Ирландии и Шотландии и называвшие себя кельтами, устраивали специальные празднества. Кельты сжигали зерно и животных, принося их в жертву злым силам, чтобы те не причиняли людям вреда. Для этого же люди носили с собой факелы и самодельные фонари - вот откуда появился Jack-o-lantern.

Pupil 1: Homes, stores and classrooms are decorated in the traditional Halloween colours, orange and black. Usual decorations are witches, black cats, ghosts, skeletons and jack-o-lanterns, pumpkins that are carved to look like faces. They are placed on doorway entrance and in windows. Horror movies and ghost stories are shown on TV on this day.

Pupil 2 Задолго до праздника преображаются и жилые дома. Традиционное украшение -Jack-o-lantern- пустая тыква с вырезанными глазами, носом и ртом, внутрь которой ставится зажженная свеча. Тыквы, скелеты, приведения, черные кошки, ведьмы, домовые - все это атрибуты Хеллоуина, а его цвета черный и оранжевый.

Teacher: Does anybody know how to make Jack-o-Lantern?

Pupil 1: No problem. You need a large pumpkin and a knife.

Pupil 2: In Europe a few hundred years ago there were people who called themselves witches. They worshiped the devil the way most people worshiped a god. They claimed they could perform magic. The witches held large meetings. There they gathered around a big fire where they cooked up magical potions. Some of these were drugs the witches drank. There were also brooms near the fire to sweep it clean. Witches used magic to fly about on broom-sticks.

SCRIPT:

(Esmeralda is in her hut sleeping. Her sister May tries to wake up Esmeralda)

May: Esmeralda…. Esmeralda… wake up.

Esmeralda: Hmmm…

May: Where am I? What time is it?

Esmeralda: You're home, and it's almost midnight.

(There's a knock at the door).

May: That must be June.

(May opens the door. June, her niece, enters)

June: Hello! Where's aunt Esmerlada.

May: She's still in bed.

June: At this hour!

May: You better talk to her, it's getting late.

(May and June go into the bedroom)

June: Aunt Esmerald… it's me June. Come on, get up.

Esmeralda: I feel sick. My head hurts a lot.

June: I know, it's because of all the potion you drank last night.

Esmeralada: Last night? What happened last night?

May: Don't you remember?

Esmeralda: No, I can hardly remember my name!

June: Last night you celebrated your first hundredth birthday, dear aunty.

May: Let me help you get out of bed.

(May tries to help Esmeralda get out of bed. Esmeralda almost falls to the floor, then she sits on the bed).

May: Be careful.

Esmeralda: I feel dizzy. I need a mirror.

(June brings her a mirror)

Esmeralda: Oh, I am terribly ugly. Ha, ha, ha, ha. I'm feeling better now!

June: You're the scariest witch in the haunted forest, aunty.

Esmeralda: And I'm very proud! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha

June: How do you feel now that you are a hundred years old?

Esmeralda: I feel wonderful! Especially because I look so ugly and children are terrified when they see me.

June: You're lucky to celebrate your birthday on Halloween Day!

Esmeralda: Oh, yes, I am!

May: I feel sorry for grandma now that she is more than a thousand years old.

June: Me too, as she ages she gets prettier and prettier. No one is afraid of her!

May: Now kids instead of running away from her, they want to hug her!

Esmeralda: Poor grandma! I really don't want to be in her shoes.

June: In her skin, you mean.

May: Ha, ha, ha, ha, me neither… I don't want to get younger! Ugh… That must be terrible!

(Esmeralda keeps looking herself in the mirror)

Esmeralda: Look at me… I am really, really ugly, don't you think so?

June: Yes, aunty… and your hair makes you look awful, too!

Esmeralda: Oh, I'm so thirsty, and it's so hot in here.

May: Let me get you a magic soup I made especially for you.

(May get's out of the bedroom and comes back with the magic soup. Esmeralda eats the soup)

June: Are you feeling better?

Esmeralda: Yes.

June: Let me see your crown , aunty.

Esmeralda: What crown? I don't have a crown.

May and June: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

May: You still have it on!

(Esmeralda reaches for her head and she feels a crown. She takes it off)

Esmeralda: No wonder I have a headache!

June: It's so beautiful!

Esmeralda: Where did that came from?

May: You're Miss Halloween!

Esmeralda: Miss Halloween?

May: Yes! At your party … Jack Skeleton, in person, crown you as Miss Halloween!

Esmeralda: Was there a contest? At my party?

June: Yes, you won because you're the ugliest witch of all.

May: After the contest, everybody danced… all the vampires, mommies, warewolves, witches, skeletons… even the ghosts …. It was really fun… it's was the best birthday party in the whole world!

June: How did you feel dancing with the man without a head?

Esmeralda: He was really boring… he didn't even talk. And who brought us home?

May: The vampires… they left us here, then they went flying to their castle to get inside their coffins before daylight.

(There is knock at the front door. May opens the door. Some witches enter the hut and go straight into the bedroom shouting).

Witches: Wake up! Wake up!

Esmeralda: Why are you shouting? I am awake!

Witches: We came for you! You don't celebrate a hundredth birthday everyday… let's keep having fun!

Esmeralda: Where are we going?

Witches: We don't know… maybe we can have some fun scaring people.

June: Yeah! We can even go to the cemetery to dance with the ghosts and skeletons!

Esmeralda: Fine… let's fly high!

(Everybody put on their witch hats and take their broomsticks and leave)

The End

Teacher: Why do people wear spooky costumes on Halloween?

Pupil 3: The custom of wearing spooky costumes on Halloween began with a group of Irish Celts called Druids. The Irish believed that evil spirit roamed about the earth on Halloween. The Druids wanted to fool the evil spirits into thinking that they were spirits, too. So they dressed as ghosts and goblins.

Halloween Game

You'll need a large space for this game and again, six people or more. Pick a "ghost hunter' and blindfold him or her. The other players or "ghosts" circle around the ghost hunter who must try to catch one of them. When someone is caught they must wail and moan in as ghostly a way as possible and the ghost hunter must guess who it is. If the ghost hunter guesses correctly he or she can change places with the ghost they caught. If not, the ghost goes free and the ghost hunter must try again.

Snap Apple

Hang apples on pieces of string. Players try to catch an apple with their teeth.

Bob Apple

To play this traditional Halloween game you need a large bowl and some apples. Fill the bowl with water and put apples in the water. Players put their hands behind their backs. They must try to pick up an apple with their teeth.

Teacher: OK! You've shown your talents today. Let`s dance. (Video Sceletons).
