Класс: 8Тема: "Is the Earth a Dangerous Place?"

Цели урока:

  • Практическая:

отработать употребление лексических единиц по теме "Природные катастрофы" в речи учащихся;

  • Образовательные:

развивать навыки устной речи, аудирования;

совершенствование навыков монологической речи; умение логично и связано высказываться; умение анализировать и выражать свое мнение, описывать происходящие события;

  • Развивающие:

развивать речевые способности, способность логически излагать; умение сравнивать, анализировать, воображать; формировать языковые навыки учащихся;

  • Воспитательные:

воспитание уважения к мнению других, умения слушать.

Речевой материал:

Лексический - материал, усвоенный на предыдущих уроках.

Грамматический - Past Simple, Past Continuous.

Оборудование: Student's book (Биболетова М.З., Трубанева Н.Н. Enjoy English VIII ), компьютер, аудиозапись, видео, доска, проектор, презентация.

  • What does it tell us about?

  • What country did it happen?

Based on the text you've read we're going to do one more task. Ex83 p 24 So your task is to fill in the table. Give me 5 nouns, 5 verbs, 5 adjectives and 5 adverbs to describe the earthquake.

(ground, noise … jump, break … terrible, great … suddenly, up and down…)

In all disasters, nature and people need help. Who are the people, who help others, when there is a disaster? Slide23

Possible answers: Emergency workers / doctors / military men / firemen / water and gas workers. Now I want you to take part in the contest. Imagine that the Green peace organization asked you to design T-shirts warning people about natural disasters. Work in groups and design T-shirt on sheets of paper. Make a presentation of your T-shirts.

Possible answers: Be carefully! Don't…! …is strictly prohibited! No…! Save…! Stop…!
