Oxford

Hello! We are from England. We are from Oxford, a small student town in Great Britain.

Oxford is full of colleges. It is very beautiful. The oldest college there is Oxford. Now there are thirty-five colleges and thirteen thousand students, many of them from other countries.

There are a lot of different schools for children and their parents. You can study English there.

Oxford is, of course, famous for its first-class education as well as its beautiful buildings. The smartest men and women in the country live and work here. There are libraries with five million books.

Some of their colleges are five hundred years old, and are full off books and paintings. You can see there many lovely gardens, where students can read and walk.

Come to our country! Visit Oxford!

Saint Petersburg

We are Russians from Saint Petersburg. It is a very beautiful city and is the second capital of Russia. Petersburg is very popular for people. The most popular street is Nevskiy Prospect. There are a lot of different museums in it.

I would like to tell you about the Hermitage and the Winter Palace. The Hermitage is one of the largest museums in the world. It has got 350 rooms. You need many days to visit all the rooms of the Hermitage and see the works of art. People come early in the morning to visit the Hermitage.

Saint Petersburg is the city on the river Neva. In summer at night hundreds of people come to the bridge and look at the ships. It's warm in summer and people walk all night long. In June the nights are not dark and people call them "white". It's very interesting and beautiful.

London

Hello! We are from London, Great Britain. I would like to tell you about our city.

London is the capital of Great Britain. It is one of the largest cities in the world.

Many old buildings still stand. The most popular are the Tower of London and Big Ben.

A lot of people want to see many interesting museums. Different parts of London are like different cities. The West End is a world of shops, offices and theatres. The City of London is the city of offices and banks. The East End is a place where working people live.

London is busy. There are two opera houses here, many concert halls and theatres.

Summer in London is warm. Winter is very wet and often frosty and windy. And everyone knows, the weather in London is often foggy. But it's very beautiful! Come to our country! Come to London!

New York

We are from New York. We like our city very much and we can tell you about it.

New York is the biggest city in the USA but not a capital. There are 13 million people in New York. The city has got a nickname «Big Apple».

There are two famous streets in New York: the Broadway and the Fifth Avenue. There are a lot of theatres and clubs on the Broadway. There are a lot of shops and hotels on the Fifth Avenue.

There is the Empire State Building on the Fifth Avenue. It is very high and famous. There is the Statue of Liberty. It is a symbol of democracy. It is very famous in the world. Come and see New York. You will like it very much.

Paris

We are from Paris. We can tell you about our city. We like to live in Paris. It is very nice. It is a capital of France. There are 2 million people in Paris. It is a very old city.

There is a big river Seine and 33 bridges over it.

There are a lot of nice parks and museums in Paris. The most famous museum is Louvre. There are 40 museums and 60 theatres in Paris.

Eiffel Tower is a symbol of Paris and France. It is very high and popular. Welcome to Paris. You will like our city!

Moscow

We are from Moscow It is a capital of Russia. Moscow is a big city. 12 million people live in Moscow. There are 100 museums in Moscow the largest museums are The Pushkin Museum and The Tretyakov Gallery.

There are a lot of theatres in Moscow. The most famous theatre is Bolshoi Opera House. The best actors play there.

The Kremlin is the symbol of Russia. A lot of tourists visit it every day. Welcome to Russia and visit Moscow.

Rome

We are from Rome. It is a capital of Italy. Rome is a very old city and it has got a lot of interesting places.

There are 3 million people in Rome. Many people come to visit it. There are many historical places in Rome. The symbol of Rome and Italy is Coliseum. It is an old theatre. There is a very big library in Rome - Vatikan library. There are many very old books there, people can read it. And there are many interesting museums and galleries. Come and see Rome.
