Открытый урок по теме Are you a friend of nature?

Цель:

- Исследовать экологические проблемы в регионе.

- Инициировать творческую деятельность учащихся через защиту проектов по теме «Ты друг природе?»

- Формировать креативное и критическое мышление учащихся.

- Развивать умения оперировать полученной информацией и применять знания на практике в различных ситуациях.

Пояснительная записка

Данный урок является итогом изучения темы «Твоё отношение к природе». Урок соответствует V этапу работы с проектом по данной теме. В приведённой ниже таблице дан алгоритм работы с проектом в 7 классе.

При работе над данным проектом класс разделился на 3 группы. I группа - «Амурские лотосы», II группа - «Лес навсегда», III группа - «Журавли». В каждой группе есть свой руководитель, который распределяет обязанности. Поэтому каждый ученик получает самостоятельный участок работы сообразно своим способностям. Ученики имеют опыт работы в группах и знают, что от успеха каждого зависит успех всего проекта, поэтому каждый ученик активно включается в поиск информации и планированию своих действий.

При защите проектов одна группа выступает с защитой, другая занимает место экспертов, затем группы сменяют друг друга. При защите оценка даётся количественная, учащиеся пользуются следующей таблицей:

После каждой защиты проектов баллы выставляются в таблицу, которая оформлена на листе ватмана и вывешена на доске. При выставлении баллов эксперты объясняют выбор своего решения на английском языке.

The procedure of the lesson

Teacher: Good morning, children! Glad to see you! Are you in good mood?

Teacher: I'd like to begin our lesson with the following words taken from the song:

It's our common duty -

To save the world of beauty...

How do you understand them? What are the key words that are familiar to you? Can you translate these words?

Pupil(s): I know the words «to save», «beauty», «world», «duty»

Teacher: I am satisfied with your answers. Tell me, please, what are we going to discuss?

Pupil(s): We'll speak about the nature;

about the environment;

how to help the Earth;

how to protect nature, etc.

Teacher: Good for you! You are right. We'll be speaking about our attitude to the environment. I believe you are ready with your projects. Today is the final step of this work. You will present your projects to your classmates. I ask you to work hard & to be in high spirits. Our topic is «Are you a friend of nature?»

Teacher: But first of all let's warm up & do some tasks. I want you to listen to the text. But before reading I'd like to draw your attention to the meaning of some words to make reading & understanding easier. Look at the screen, please, & match the words & their meanings:

Teacher: It's high time to work with projects. You were working for quite a long time. Tell me, please, who is in charge of each group & what is the title of your work?

Pupil 1: I am in charge of the 1^st group & our project is called «Amur lotuses»

Pupil 2: Our group is ready to present a project «Forests forever»

Pupil 3: We worked with a project about cranes.

Teacher: Look again at the screen. You can see the symbols of your projects.

Teacher: I give you some minutes to prepare your design-lists (at this time teacher appreciates the results of comprehension)

Well, we are ready to listen to Yulia's group. Present, please your project. (4 students are involved in the work) & experts - take your seats (the 3^rd group)

Teacher: I want to come back to our projects. Look here! What can you see?

Pupil: They are lotuses.

What is it necessary to do to save lotuses?

Pupil: Maybe put slogans - Don't disturb flowers! Flowers are hurt!

People shouldn't pollute waters where these flowers grow

People shouldn't bathe near these flowers

Teacher: You are right, of course. Some people don't know anything about these flowers, for example, no picked lotus lives more than one hour.

Teacher: The protection of forests is very urgent problem. What can we do?

Pupil: Plant trees, make birdhouses, not leave litter, not make fire..
