Travelling

People all over the world like travelling. They travel to foreign countries, big cities and small towns. They travel to see other places, to meet new people, to try new food, to listen to different music. Some people travel on business and some - for pleasure.

There are different ways to travel: by train, by plane, by car, by bus, by ship and on foot.

Travelling by train is very popular today. It is fast, comfortable and rather cheap. You can buy train tickets at the railway station in the ticket office. You can buy single or return tickets. Some people take a through train. They don't have to change then.

Many people like to travel by air. Travelling by plane is very fast and comfortable but it can be very expensive. Sometimes you have to pay for your luggage. You can buy the flight tickets at the airport. You can chose to fly with tourist or business class. During the flight you can have something to drink or to eat. Sometimes passengers don't feel well on board the plane. They can get airsick.

Travelling by sea is also very popular now. People can travel on large ships or small river boats. Many ships have comfortable cabins. When you are on a voyage you can enjoy the beautiful sea, the wind blowing, watch the seagulls flying in the sky. Sometimes people can get sea-sick.

Many people enjoy travelling by car. When you travel by car you don't have to buy the tickets. You can stop where and when you like.

Some people travel on foot. Walking tours are very interesting.
