Задачи урока:

1. Ввести и активизировать знания учащихся по теме;

2. Развивать умение работать в различных режимах и формах;

3. Совершенствовать навыки и умения учащихся в устной речи;

4. Организовать первичный контроль умений и знаний, учащихся по теме.

Оборудование и наглядные пособия: раздаточный материал, презентация.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент. - Good morning, boys and girls! (Good morning, teacher!)
- Nice to meet you. (Nice to meet you too.)
- How are you? (We are fine, thank you. How are you?)
OK, let's start our lesson.

2. Определение темы урока

T: Well, children, I won' t tell you the topic of our lesson. You should guess. Listen to me attentively.

1. You go there every day except weekends.

2. You study different subjects there.

3. The children, who go there, are called pupils.

P 1, 2, 3. What will we speak about? You're quite right, it's «School».

T: What are your favourite subjects? Who likes …? Stand up please. So, what are the most popular subjects? T: Let us look. And the most popular subjects in your class are….

(state, public, boarding) How many lessons do you have in a day? What subjects are compulsory? What are your favourite subjects? Do you have to wear a uniform? Do you want to wear a uniform? What are your classmates like? Your classmates are friendly. What are your teachers like? Your teachers are clever and kind. How many days a week do you go to school?

English schools

In England there are different types of schools. They are state schools and public schools. State schools are for everybody. And they are not very expensive. Along time ago the famous public schools used to be (использовались) for poor people, but now they are private schools and you have to pay (платить) to go there (чтобы там учиться). Public schools are not for everybody, they are the most expensive schools for the rich. Eton is the most famous public school. It is very old, and a lot of important people used to be student there. It is an all-boys school. So if you go to a public school, you can be in one class with a prince or a future minister. You take a special exam, and if your results are very good, you get a scholarship. If you get a scholarship to a public school, you don't have to pay.
