по английскому языку

«BRAIN RING»

8 класс

Цели: Обобщение, систематизация страноведческих знаний учащихся о традициях празднования популярных зимних праздников в стране изучаемого языка и других странах мира, о культуре страны изучаемого языка, повторить содержание темы «Соединенное королевство Великобрита­нии и Северной Ирландии»; тренировать учащихся в переводе английских пословиц; учить пользоваться дополнительной лите­ратурой по английскому языку.

Задачи мероприятия:

Воспитательная:

• воспитывать интерес к изучению предмета.

• воспитывать инициативность и активность,

• воспитывать уважение к культуре и традициям других народов,

• воспитывать культуру общения, нравственное отношение к своей стране,

• воспитывать настойчивость и упорство в достижении цели,

• воспитывать чувство уважения друг к другу.

Развивающая:

• развивать творческие способности учащихся,

• развивать коммуникативно-игровые способности у учащихся,

• развивать языковую догадку, смекалку,

• развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.

Образовательная:

• формирование страноведческих, социокультурных знаний,

• расширение кругозора учащихся.

Практическая:

• развивать умения понимать иностранную речь на слух,

• развивать лексико-грамматические навыки учащихся в рамках предложенной темы,

• развивать умения представлять себя, рассказывать о своих интересах, занятиях.

Форма: игра-соревнование

Класс: параллель 8-х классов

Оснащение:

• мультимедийная установка,

• СD диски с музыкой,

• раздаточный материал (маркеры, бумага, таблички с номерами, звезды)

Ход мероприятия:

1. Организационный этап. Приветствие участников и гостей мероприятия.

Роль ведущих исполняют учителя. Один ученик выступает в роли наблюдателя, контролирующего правильные ответы участников и зачисляющего звезды.

(T1): Good afternoon, dear boys and girls!

(T2): Good afternoon, dear guests!

T2: I'm Natalia Valerievna.

T1: We're glad to see you in our intellectual competition, which is called "Brain Ring"

T2: 12 players will take part in a game to prove that they are the best, the most quick-witted, the cleverest.

T1: To answer the question "who's the best?", our players will have to come through 5 rounds of the competition. Natalia Valerievna, can you explain the rules of the game?

T2: Sure.

2. Объяснение правил игры.

• The competition consists of 6 rounds.

• Players answer the questions, raising numbers they have: from 1 to 4.

• You can get a star for each correct answer.

• Students who have the most numbers of stars enter the next round.

• The first student, who gives the correct answer, gets an extra star.

• So in the final round there will be only two players.

• You'll get instructions before each tour.

3. Представление участников. Ход игры.

T1: Now let's learn the names of our players. Don't forget that you can get a star for the most interesting and original introduction.

(Участники игры по очереди представляют себя, рассказывая о себе, своих увлечениях, интересах, близких, друзьях, отвечают на вопросы ведущих.

Участнику самого оригинального представления присуждается звезда.)
