Цель урока: систематизировать и обобщить у учащихся знания лексического материала по теме «My role model»

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

  1. Совершенствование навыков монологической и диалогической речи с использованием известных речевых образцов.

  2. Активизировать у учащихся лексику по теме "My role model".

  3. Совершенствование навыков работы с текстом.

Развивающие:

  1. Развитие фонетического слуха учащихся.

  2. Развитие оперативной памяти и концентрации внимания.

  3. Развитие творческого воображения и фантазии у школьников.

Воспитательные:

  1. Формирование устойчивого интереса к дальнейшему изучению английского языка и уважительного отношения к культуре другого народа у школьников.

  2. Формирование коммуникативной компетенции учащихся.

Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийная установка, экран, презентация, карточки с текстом.

Этапы урока.

  1. Организационный момент.

- Good morning, boys and girls!

- I'm glad to see you again! Sit down, please.

- What day of the week is it today?

  1. Введение в тему урока.

- Please, look at the blackboard, read and translate the name of our lesson.


  1. Фонетическая зарядка.

- Children, let's remember some words. Look at the screen.

(Учащиеся читают и переводят слова, пройденные на предыдущих уроках)


  1. Речевая зарядка.

- Boys and girls, let's remember some famous people.

- Look at the screen and guess the names of these famous persons.


  • Robert Scott: This person was an English naval-officer and explorer. This person wanted to be the fist at the South Pole.

  • William Wallace: This person lived in Scotland in the 13th century and fought against the English.

  • Mother Teresa: This person was the founder of the charity missions and got the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.

  • Bill Gates: This person never graduated from the university and became the founder of the biggest and the most successful company.


  1. Работа с текстом.

  2. Of course, you've already met some information about this man before, but now you are going to learn more. Les's read the text about him and answer some questions.

Mikhail Lomonosov.

Mikhail Lomonosov was born in 1711 in Archangelsk province. His father was a fisher and young Mikhail liked to help him. He always strove for knowledge and liked reading books.

As he was 19 years old, he decided to study in Moscow. He went there on foot. In Moscow he entered the Slavic- Greek-Latin Academy. After his graduation from Academy he was sent abroad to complete his knowledge in chemistry and mining. After he had returned from abroad, he became the first Russian professor of chemistry in 1745.

At first he was engaged in research in physics and chemistry. Since 1748 he had conducted works in the first Russian chemical research laboratory, which was built at his request.

Since 1753 he was engaged in research in many fields of natural and applied sciences. He wrote works on physics, astronomy, geography, history. Besides scientific works, he wrote poems as well. He is the author of the first scientific grammar of the Russian language.

He founded the factory producing colored glass. He created some mosaics using the glass produced at the factory.

Lomonosov was the founder of the first Russian university. This university is situated in Moscow and still carries his name.

Mikhail Lomonosov died in 1765. But he is still known as the father of the Russian science, an outstanding poet, the founder of Russian literature.

-Your home task was to make the report about your role model. It's time to listen to your stories.

(Заслушиваются 2 - 3 доклада, остальные сдаются в конце урока)


  1. Рефлексия.

- Look at the screen and guess the hiding sentence.

(A role model is a person who shows us an example of positive behavior.)


  1. Итоги.

Well, boys and girls, today you have learned a lot about people who are famous in their countries and abroad. They are an example for many others. You have your own role models and the task for the next lesson is to prepare for the test.
