Clever Boys and Clever Girls

Внеклассное мероприятие. Игра «Clever Boys and Clever Girls» для учащихся 6 класса. Данная игра проходит в канун Рождества.

Цели: Формирование коммуникативной компетенции.

Развитие мотивации к изучению языка, развитие творческих способностей.

Воспитание уважения к культуре страны изучаемого языка.

Условия игры: в игре может участвовать любое количество обучающихся (в данном случае - 9), побеждает один, набравший самое большее количество баллов. Жюри - учащиеся старших классов.

ХОД ИГРЫ:

I.Acquaintance. Everyone of you must tell us some words about yourself.

(учащиеся представляют себя).

II.Phonetical Contest (Фонетический раунд). Your task is to pronounce these phrases:
1. A big black bug bit a big black dog on his big black nose.
2. Elizabeth's birthday is on the third Thursday of this month.
3. How many cookies could a good cook cook if a good cook could cook cookies?
4. Four furious friends fought for the phone.

III.Name the Sight (Назови достопримечательность). Now you have to name the sight of London after I tell you some facts about it. (Называют достопримечательность по описанию).

1.You can see the Tower of London from it. (Tower Bridge)

2.You can feed pigeons there. (Trafalgar Square)

3.There are two towers and a big dome here. (St. Paul's Cathedral)

4.The Royal Standard is over it. (Buckingham Palace)

5.There are ringed birds there. (The Tower of London)

6.They are twins. (The twin drawbridges of Tower Bridge)

7.You can hear everything there very well. (Whispering Gallery)

8.You can see a big axe there. (The Tower of London)

9.There are even crocodiles there. (The Zoo in Regent's Park)

10.In the past there were duelists there. (Green park)

And now your task is to name the sight looking at the picture. (Называют достопримечательность по картинке). Presentation.

IV. Three parts of our game are over. While our jury is counting the points, I'll ask you to guess the names of the sights written on the blackboard. Write the words correctly (пишут названия достопримечательностей).

VIII.Исполнение песни «Jingle Bells» (все вместе исполняют песню, жюри подводит итог 6 и 7 этапов и всей игры).
