• Воспитание у учащихся умение слушать друг друга.

• Тренировка навыков устной речи;

• Совершенствование навыков чтения.

2. Warming-up.

T.: Look at the board. Here you can see the name of school subjects. Match these two columns and write them on the board.

T.: Let's answer the questions:

- What is your favourite subject?

- Do you like History?

- Do you like to read the books about the past?

2. Pupils match and write the words.

3. Get ideas.

T.: Look at the board. Here you can see the title "The crystal skull". Read it and discuss in pairs your ideas about it.

T.: Good! Thanks a lot! Let's continue. You have got a sheet of paper on your tables. Look at the board, here you can see the sentences. I'm going to read them "Do you believe that…?" If you believe put "+", if not put "-".

3. Pair Work.

Pupils discuss the title in pairs, write the ideas and stick on the board.

Pupils complete the table.
