Цели и задачи викторины:

• Активизировать познавательную деятельность обучающихся;

• Обогащать знания ребят новыми сведениями;

• Повышать интерес детей к изучению английского языка;

• Обобщить пройденный учебный материал в неформальной обстановке во время игры;

• Подвести итог по изучению темы: "Соединённое Королевство" на данном этапе обучения английскому языку;

• Развивать способности к групповому общению

• Изображение эмблемы, герба, флага Великобритании и отдельных её государств.

• Фотографии с достопримечательностями Великобритании.

• Компьютер, проектор

• Эмблемы участников команд.

• Карточки с указанием количества очков.

Ход мероприятия:

Участвуют три команды учащихся, изучающих английский язык. Ведущий, путём жеребьёвки определяет команду, которая начинает первой. Капитаны представляют членов своих команд. Команды приветствуют друг друга на английском языке. Викторина состоит из четырёх раундов. Вопросы участникам команд задает ведущий (вопросы в печатном виде лежат у команд на столах и представлены на экране), за каждый правильный ответ команда получает один балл. В последнем раунде можно предложить участникам такой вариант: за правильный ответ их прежние очки удваиваются, однако за неправильный - уменьшаются вдвое. Это придаёт игре особый интерес. Побеждает та команда, которая набрала наибольшее количество жетонов.
