Medicinal plants

Darima lives in Ulan-Ude with her family. But she doesn't like city. Because there isn't any interesting places, fresh air and rich with plants forests there. That's why she usually spends her summer holiday at grandparents in village Utata. Darima helps them around the house. She also helps her grandmother to gather medicinal plants. They are: roots of wild-growing sarana, wild buckwheat and rhubarb, leaves of sorrel, wild onion, birdcherry, dog-rose, blueberry, red bilberry, leaves of willow-herb and others. And Darima learns to use them. For example, they dry wild onion for winter. They boil roots of wild-growing sarana and wild buckwheat in milk. They dry roots of rhubarb, leaves of sorrel and grind them in order to add to meal. Darima and her grandmother dry birdcherry, dog-rose, bilberry, blueberry and grind them. These plants are added to milk skin. They use leaves of red bilberry, leaves of willow-herb instead of tea. That's why Darima likes to spend her summer holiday there.
