Виховний захід з англійської мови: Easter Adventure

Мета: Виховувати повагу і інтерес до народних свят, традицій і обрядів, зокрема до найбільшого весняного свята - Пасхи.

Обладнання: Весняні декорації, паска на вишитому рушнику, крашанки; картини із зображенням природи; гілля розквітлої верби; запис мелодії пісні «Калина» (С. Ротару).

Учасники: Учні 6, 7, 8 класів одягнуті в національні костюми.

Вступне слово вчителя:

Ось і настала довгождана весна. Це пора року, коли все оживає, пробуджується від зимового сну, дерева одягаються в зелені листочки, з'являються перші квіти. Весна - це символ нового життя, символ відродження і оновлення. Тому ця прекрасна пора року посідає особливе місце у звичаях і традиціях українського народу. Саме на весняний період припадає одне з найбільших християнських свят - Пасха.

Ми знаємо, як українці святкують Великдень, але вам, напевно, цікаво буде дізнатися, яких звичаїв дотримується англійський народ у цей день. Тому, шановні друзі, до вашої уваги ми пропонуємо виховний захід на тему: «Весняні свята. Пригоди Пасхи».

Також до вашої пропонуємо пісню «Калина», що так усім полюбилася у виконанні народної артистки України Софії Ротару. Вам мабуть буде цікаво почути її англійською мовою.

Калина - це символ нашої рідної неньки-України. Адже, як говорять рядки пісні: «І Україна, бо в нас іншої нема», це означає, що де б ми не були, для нас завжди залишається найріднішим те місце, де ми народилися, наша домівка і батьківщина.

Як говорить англійське прислів'я: "East or west, home is best", яке перекладається як «В гостях добре, а вдома найкраще».

Leader 1: It is spring now. It is April. The weather is fine. The sun is shining in the blue sky. We can see the first green leaves in the trees and the first flowers in the fields. The days become longer and the nights shorter. The birds come back from the South.

And now let's listen a song: "A snowball-tree".

Leader 2: And now let's listen the story of Easter.

Leader 1: Easter is a time of springtime festivals. In Christian countries Easter is celebrated as the religious holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the son of God. But the celebrations of Easter have many customs and legends that are pagan in origin and have nothing to do with Christianity.

Leader 2: The Christian celebration of Easter embodies a number of converging traditions with emphasis on the relation of Easter to the Jewish festival of Passover, or Pasch from which is derived Pesach, another name used by Europeans for Easter.

Leader 1: Easter is observed by the churches of the West on the first Sunday following the spring equinox (March 21). So Easter became a "movable" feast which can occur as early as March 22 or as late as April 25.

Leader 2: Holy Week, the last week of Lent, begins with the observance of Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday takes its name from Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem where the crowds laid palms at his feet. Holy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper, which was held the evening before the Crucifixion.

Leader 1: Holy week and the Lenten season end with Easter Sunday, the day of resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Leader 2: Lets listen a story about Easter Adventure. The main characters are:

Teacher

Easter Rabbit

Pupils

Teacher: Dear children, we are going to speak about Easter today. I think, this magic chocolate egg will help us.

Pupils (together): "Magic egg, please roll. We want to listen to an Easter story".

(Pupils roll an Easter egg. Easter Rabbit appears)

Teacher: You know that flowers, eggs and rabbits are the Easter symbols in Great Britain. Easter Rabbit has brought us beautiful Easter cards. Look at them! They are very nice.

Easter Rabbit: Dear children, do you know the story of my adventures?

(Pupils say "Yes" joyfully and recite the story in turn)

Pupil 1: One sunny Easter morning

With a basket in his hands

The Rabbit walked. And he was going

To visit relatives and friends.

Pupil 2: Blue and yellow, white and red

Flowers nodded their heads.

The sun was brightly shining/

And our friend was smiling.

Pupil 3: A garland of violets on Rabbit's head

Carrying a basket of chocolate eggs.

You are handsome, brother dear.

Cross the wood and do not fear!

Pupil 4: He met the Bear on the way.

Said "Good morning" to the friend,

Didn't notice a stump.

Oh, dear! He fell down!

Pupil 5: What a pity! We are sorry!

Brother Rabbit, please don't worry!

Easter eggs and all the toys

Rolling down making noise.

Pupil 6: Poor Rabbit has got afraid

And hasn't received the first aid.

He has bumped his knee,

Jumped into the bushes under the free.

Pupil 7: The children came into the wood.

They have seen the Rabbit's foot

Hidden in the grass

And they began to laugh.

Pupil 8: "What are you doing here?

Easter is near.

Morning bells are ringing

All the children are singing".

Leader 1: And now lets listen a song: "A snowball-tree" («Калина») into Ukrainian.
