There is a video series of events of the Great Patriotic War. The voice is heard over:

There are events that over the years are erased from the people's memory and become the property of archives. But there are events that are not only diminished over time, but with each new decade they acquire special significance, becoming immortal. Such events include our people's victory in the Great Patriotic War.

70 years already have passed since the beginning of this war, and the bright summer day in June was the bitterest in the country. Veterans! You had to fight with enemies, sparing neither life, nor efforts. Veterans, we swear you to save memory. We're young, but we know for sure: one cannot forget about the past!

The concert opens with a musical lyceum students "Echo of War".

Presenter 1. Our dear guests and participants we warmly welcome you at our annual song and dance contest!

Presenter 2. Every year we have a chance to meet each other and show our talent!

Presenter 1. This year the contest is dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.

Presenter 2.Today meeting is devoted to the memory of the fallen soldiers and officers in the war, as well as to the living veterans.

Presenter 1. At the beginning you were listening to the musical "The echo of war", which was represented by the students from Lyceum №1.

Presenter 2. As for our events, the main and the only requirement of it is to translate and to sing the given Russian song about war, victory, and our veterans in the English language.

Presenter 1. Let us introduce the members of our jury. Meet them, please, with your applause!

Presenter 1. Zilya Khalitovna Gilmanova, an English teacher of Bolshaya Oka.

Presenter 2. Elvira Gabdullovna Ziganshina, an English teacher of Novomuslyumovo.

Presenter 1. Zifa Bulatovna Mufazalova, an English teacher of Bashkir Grammar School.

Presenter 2. Farida Salimjyanovna Gainanova, a music teacher of the District Music School.

Presenter 1. Lilija Rizaevna Sibagatova, an English teacher of Lyceum №1.

Presenter 2. ... And Larisa Mikhailovna Hudyakova, a chief of the district youth center.

Presenter 1. There is no family that would not have affected the horror of war. Only from our neighborhood 5400 men left to the front.

Presenter 2. Two and a half thousand soldiers and officers remained on the battlefields. And only less than a half of our compatriots returned home.

Presenter 1. We invite the participants from Nizhniy Bobino with the song "March farewell of Slavyanka".

Presenter 5. Thank you for your wonderful performance. It was Nizhniy Bobino.

Presenter 6. On the 22 of June, 1941, troops of Nazi Germany treacherously attacked our homeland. By this time, the German army had already captured almost the whole Europe.

Presenter 5. Our country has been hit by unprecedented Army invasion: thousand of tanks, cannons and mortars, aircrafts and ships.

Presenter 6. We welcome the guests from Bolshaya Oka with the song "Three tank soldiers".

Presenter 2. Thank you, Bolshaya Oka.

Presenter 1. Everybody from little to old, stood up to defend their homeland, volunteers went to the front, yesterday's pupils became soldiers.

We greet the pupils from Alegazovo, they'll present a song "On the nameless height".

Presenter 4. Thank you, Alegazovo.

Presenter 3. When the enemy encircled Leningrad, a blockade of the city, the longest and heinous siege in the history of the world began.

Presenter 4. The citizens of Leningrad heroically defended their city, suffering from hunger and cold.

Presenter 3. It killed more than a million inhabitants and defenders, but the enemy was not able to enter the city.

Presenter 4. We invite the pupils from Abdullino with the song "On the way to the front".

Presenter 6. Thank you, Abdullino.

Presenter 5. It would have been impossible to survive in the horror of the war without faith in the victory, without hope and love.

Presenter 6. Love warmed the hearts of soldiers, forced them to fight and defend their beloved women, mothers, kids.

Presenter 5. When the soldiers had some minutes to rest, they wrote letters, joked, recited poems and sang songs.

Presenter 6. Now let's listen to the boys and girls from Novomuslimovo. They will sing the song "Moldavanka".

Presenter 2. Thank you, Novomuslimovo.

Presenter 1. In the autumn of 1941, the Germen approached Moscow. In the battle of Moscow Hitler's army had suffered from a defeat for the first time.

Presenter 2. Soviet people believed in their future victory. But still, the Nazis managed to capture the Baltic republics, Byelorussia, the Ukraine, the Crimea, the Northern Caucasus and the Volga banks near Stalingrad.

Presenter 1. We welcome the representatives from Bashkir Grammar school with the song"Our tenth airborne battalion".

Presenter 4. Thank you, Bashkir Grammar school.

Presenter 3. In the autumn of 1942, the greatest battle at Stalingrad (now Volgograd) began.

Presenter 4. The heroic defence of the city lasted about two months. Each house became an impregnable fortress for the Nazis.

Presenter 3. We invite the pupils from Novomescherovo. They'll sing the song "A dark night".

Presenter 6. Thank you, Novomescherovo.

Presenter 5. The soldiers from Bashkortostan showed the wonders of courage and heroism on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War.

Presenter 6. From 710 thousand people who left for the front, about 300 thousand didn't come back from the battlefields.

Presenter 5. 277 people were awarded with the title of The Hero of the Soviet Union, 35 people became The Full Knights of the orders of Glory.

Presenter 6. We greet the children from Kurgatovo with the song "The general Shaimuratov".

Presenter 2. Thank you, Kurgatovo.

Presenter 1. The fracture in the war began in the battle for Moscow and ended with the battle of Kursk.

Presenter 2. The Marshal of the Soviet Union A.M. Vasilevsky said that there were three major milestones on the way:

Presenter 1. … the beginning of a radical turning point was the battle for Moscow, and then a decisive battle of Stalingrad and the battle of Kursk completed the process.

Presenter 2. We invite the pupils from Lemeztamakovo with the song "Where we are dancing a waltz".

Presenter 4. Thank you, Lemeztamakovo.

Presenter 3. The year of 1943 was radical not only in the fighting at the front, but also at the Soviet rear.

Presenter 4. In 1943 our military industry gave more aircrafts, tanks and guns of all types than in Germany.

Presenter 3. We are waiting the boys and girls from Duvan - Mechetlino with the song "The tanks were rumbling in the field".

Presenter 6. Thank you, Duvan - Mechetlino.

Presenter 5. Many more battles occurred in our vast Motherland. Only in 1944 our army managed to expel the invaders from our land.

Presenter 6. But the war was not over. It was necessary together with France, England and the United States to complete the defeat of Nazi Germany and its allies, Italy and Japan.

Presenter 5. And we expect our guests from Unusovo with the song "The blue handkerchief".

Presenter 2. Thank you, Unusovo.

Presenter 1.Hundreds of thousands of Soviet soldiers were killed in the battles, helping the peoples of Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Austria and China to get free from the Nazis.

Presenter 2. And we are ready to hear the pupils from Novoyaushevo with the song "Brest street".

Presenter 4. Thank you, Novoyaushevo.

Presenter 3. In May 1945, after intense battles our forces stormed the capital of Nazi Germany, and hoisted the flag of our homeland over the Reichstag in Berlin.

Presenter 4. We invite our friends from Telyashevo with the song "Our army".

Presenter 6. Thank you, Telyashevo.

Presenter 5.Hitler committed suicide in order to avoid the responsibility for all the evil that fascism had brought to the world.

Presenter 6. We greet the representatives from Abdrahimovo with the song "The 9th of May".

Presenter 2. Thank you, Abdrahimovo.

Presenter 1. On the 8th of May, 1945, Nazi generals admitted the complete defeat of Germany in the war, and on the 9th of May our country celebrated victory day with glee.

Presenter 2. Since then, every year on the 9th of May fireworks display flourishes the sky over the capital of Russia and cities-heroes in honor of the great victory over fascism.

Presenter 1. And the great song "Victory Day" will be sung by the pupils from Azikeevo.

Presenter 4. Thank you, Azikeevo.

Presenter 3. The eternal flame burns in many Russian cities. In every town and village of Russia there are monuments to the fallen in the war.

Presenter 4. On the 9 of May we recollect with gratitude all the fallen and those who survived in the Great Patriotic War.

Presenter 3. We invite the pupils from Suleymanovo with the song "And all about that spring".

Presenter 6. Thank you, Suleymanovo.

Presenter 5. So many years have passed since those terrible days! Every year there are less and less Veterans. Such is life.

Presenter 6. But we vigorously promise to cherish the memory of you and your torments of those years that one is not able to erase them from the human memory.

Presenter 5. We are expecting pupils from Melecasovo with the song "The veterans".

Presenters 1. We are grateful to our dear veterans for the peaceful sky, for a happy childhood, we're proud of their victory.

Presenter 2. Health and happiness to them and their family.

Presenter 1. We invite the students from Taishevo with the song "My great grandfather".

Presenter 2. Thank you, Taishevo.

Dear guests, our contest comes to the end we hope you enjoyed the show!

Presenter 1. And now it's the time for the members of jury to decide who the best was today. While the jury is making decision we offer you to watch the dances and listen to the songs shown by lyceum students.
