The aims of the game:

1. To enrich pupil's knowledge and outlook

2. To develop the pupil's intellect, speaking, reading, listening and logical thinking

3. To bring up the culture of communication and the need in practical use of English language

The procedure of the game

Good morning dear guests, teachers and pupils! You are welcome to our intellectual game "The magic world of English". We are glad to see you and we hope that you'll enjoy today's game.

I think the game will be interesting and useful for you. I wish everybody good luck. Pupils from the 7 and 8 classes will participate in this game: the first team is "Leaders", the second one is "Champions".

The game consists of 6 rounds

1. The ABC game

2. Baige

3. Capitals

4. Polyglot

5. Who is faster?

6. Zhorga

And now we come to the 1^st contest of the game called "The ABC game". Kids, you'll get some letters from the English alphabet. You must put the letters in the right order, so as to get the name of the English-speaking country. You have 1 minute at your disposal. Each team can get 5 points.

The next round is called "Capitals". You should name the capitals of different countries.
