КВН в 5-х классах «The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland"

Цель урока: обобщить и продемонстрировать свои знания о Соединенном королевстве Великобритании и Северной Ирландии.

Задачи урока:

Обучающие:

• обобщить лингвистический и страноведческий материал по предъявленной теме; способствовать развитию речи.

Развивающие:

• совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения языком по данной теме; формировать и развивать умение трансформировать знания в новой ситуации.

Воспитывающие:

• работать над культурой речевых высказываний;

• формировать и развивать умения само и взаимооценки.

Оборудование и оснащение: флаги Великобритании, эмблемы команд, карта Британских островов, презентация Power Point «How much do you remember?», puzzles (на большом формате), конверты с карточками, клей, бумага формата А4, маркеры, ручки, таблица оценивания для жюри, грамоты.

План урока

I. Организационный момент:

1) Приветствие.

2) Вступительная речь учителя.

3) Представление жюри и жеребьевка команд.

II. Конкурсы:

1. Приветствие команд.

2. «Show at the map".

3. "Name the cities".

4. "How much do you remember?"

5. "Word-wizard".

6. Puzzle.

III. Итоги игры:

1) Музыкальная пауза: сказка "Little Red Riding Hood" (ученики 5 класса)

1) Подведение итогов игры и награждение команд.

2) Анализ ответов и оценивание учащихся.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент.

1. Приветствие учителя и учащихся.

2. Вступительная речь учителя.

(Звучит музыка). Good afternoon everybody! We are happy to see you at our competition. It is devoted to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. I think you've read many texts and done exercises and got useful information about the countries of the United Kingdom. This competition shows your achievements and your knowledge of the matter. I wish you success and good luck! I hope every team will win the competition.

3. Представление жюри и жеребьевка команд.

First I'd like to introduce you the members of our jury. They are your teachers of English. As you see we have some guests today. I hope they are your fans.

Now I ask the captains to come over and choose the cards who will begin the competition.

Now each team should introduce themselves. Your home task was to prepare the name of the team, the emblems and mottos. You are welcome.

The First Team: "Monarchs" 5A

The Second Team: "British Stars» 5Б

The Third Team: «Optimists" 5B

2. "Show at the map"

Our second task is the following: each team should answer questions and show the answer (country) on the map. We will begin with the "Monarchs".

1. What country consists of 4 parts? (UK)

2. What country consists of 3 parts? (Great Britain)

3. What country lies to the south of Scotland and to the east of Wales? (England)

4. What country lies to the north of England and Northern Ireland? (Scotland)

5. What country is separated from Great Britain by the Irish Sea? (Northern Ireland)

6. What country lies to the west of England and to the east of Northern Ireland? (Wales)

3. "Name the cities"

Each team gets envelope with cards, your task is to put together the name of the cities and stick it on the paper (учащиеся должны из «домино» сложить названия городов и приклеить на листочки).
