Урок английского языка в 5 классе

Тема урока: «At the Zoo»
( УМК « Английский в фокусе - 5»)
Цели: предметные компетенции:
1) Обучающие компетенции:
-
Освоить лексические единицы по теме « Животные мира» во всех видах речевой деятельности;
-
научиться рассказывать о жизни животных, описывать их;
-
освоить формообразование и использование в связной речи глаголов в Present Simple;
-
развивать умения, составляющие лингвистическую компетенцию.
2) Развивающие компетенции:
-
развивать навыки и умения во всех видах речевой деятельности;
-
развивать воображение при моделировании ситуаций общения;
-
развивать проектно-исследовательские умения;
-
развитие языковой догадки с опорой на родной язык при аудировании
-
- обогащение знаний о животных.
3) Воспитательные компетенции:

мотивировать к изучению иностранного языка;

развивать возможности самореализации средствами иностранного языка;

воспитывать любовь к животным, экологическую культуру в целом.

Вводная беседа
Dear children, I know you love birds and animals. You take care of them. I am sure you will be glad to see different animals and birds in the zoo. Let's go to the zoo. I think it will be interesting. But before we go, listen a rhyme «To the Zoo».
To the Zoo
We are off to the zoo!
We are off to the zoo!
We haven't a moment to spare.
We are going to see the kangaroo.
And feed the big brown bear.

Постановка учебной проблемы: Look at the picture of the textbook and say what the theme of our lesson is?
Now we are in the zoo. What a fine zoo it is! I can see a lot of animals. Ex. 2 p.68 ( Парная работа)
S1. What animals can you see at the zoo?
S2. I can see ……. Which animal has got a thick mane?
S1. The lion. Which animal has got long legs?
S2. The giraffe. Which animal has got a small beak?
S1. The peacock. Which animal has got big paws?
S2. The bear. Which animal has got big ears?
S1. The elephant. Which animal has got a short tail?
S2.The bear. . Which animal has got a thick beard?
S1. The monkey.

Describe any of the animals. Make two false statements. Your partner corrects you. (Развитие умений монологической речи):
S1. A monkey has got a long nose, a thick beard and short legs.
S2. A monkey hasn't got a long nose and short legs. It's got a small nose and long legs. Etc.

Read the first two lines of the dialogue. Where are Ben and Ann? Ex. 4, p. 68.

Отработка грамматики: развитие навыков распознавания и употребления в речи глаголов в Present Simple: negative and interrogative. Ex.6. p.69.

Listening. Listen and complete the advertisement. Задача: развитие умения аудирования с выборочным пониманием заданной информации. Ex.8, p.69 (запись 89) ключи: 1) Park, 2) 10, 3) Christmas, 4) 12, 5) Lions.

Speaking: Imagine you are at a zoo. Act out a dialogue. Include: asking about an animal, describing the animal, giving a reason why you like it.
S1. Do you like the zoo, Mark?
S2. Yes, I do. It's fantastic. What's that animal over there?
S1. Which one? What does it look like?
S2. It has got four legs, a long tail and yellow and black fur with stripes.
S 1. That's tiger. They are so beautiful.
S 2. Yes, they are. Look, what's that up in the tree?
S 1. It's a snake.
S 2. Ah! I don't like snakes.
S1. Why not?
S2. They are creepy.
S1. I find them clever. Anyway, let's go and see zebras.
S2 OK.

Подведение итогов.
Dear children, you had a very good time at the zoo. You have seen many animals and birds. You know their names, you know many verses about them. I liked your answers. Every pupil has been given a postcard with a picture of animal or bird. On the reverse side there is a mark for your knowledge in English.

S1. Now I can describe any of the animals. S2. I can correct false statements. S3. I can act out a dialogue about visiting the zoo. Exc.
Домашнее задание: Write a paragraph about a wild animal. Ex.10,p. 69.
