We are happy to see you at our Christmas Party today!

3 ведущий: Пора начинать праздник - праздник Рождества. У каждого из вас свое рождество - свой день рождения, который вы отмечаете свечами, тортом и вкусным лимонадом. Но этот праздник - особый! Это - день рождения Иисуса Христа. Он родился более двух тысяч лет тому назад, и именно двадцать пятого декабря христиане, живущие в Европе и Америке, отмечают его рождение.

1 ученик: Christmas is the most popular holiday in Great Britain. It is the night from

the 24^th to the 25^th of December, when people celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The people begin to prepare for the holiday long before it. They buy presents, cards, Christmas trees, tasty food. They send them to their friends, relatives.

The English send more than a billion Christmas cards every year. Very often we can see a small bird on Christmas cards and trees. It is a robin. The Robin is one of the symbols of Christmas.

2 ученик: Weihnachten its eine besondere Zeit in Deutschland. Es ist ein hohes religioses Fest, der Tag Der Geburt Christi. Viele Menschen feiern das Weihnachtsfest nach altem Brauch, obwohl es fur die moisten Menschen eine ganz andere Bedeutung hat als fruher. Weihnachtsfest ist eine lange Tradition. Die Zeit vor Weihnachten, die «Vorweihnachtszeit», ist in Deutschland, Osterreich und in der Schweiz fast genau so wichtig wie das Weihnachtsfest selbst.

Далее ученики рассказывают на иностранных языках о Рождественской ёлке и традициях украшения дома.

1 ученица: Before Christmas the English buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with toys, balls and lights. The tree is often put into the window and at night one can walk along the street and watch the lights twinkling in the windows.

Long before that the English decorated their houses with different evergreens. The favorite of them are holly, ivy and mistletoe.

2 ученица: The most famous Christmas tree stands every year in Trafalgar Square. Since 1947 the citizens of Oslo give this tree to the citizens of London.

It is over fifty feet high. The tree is brightly decorated. Right at the top is a large shining star. The branches are draped with tinsel and hung with big brilliant stars that sparkle in the light.

3 ученица: Das Weihnachtsfest ist eine lange Tradition. Die Zeit vor Weihnachten, die «Vorweihnachtszeit», ist in Deutschland, Osterreich und in der Schweiz fast genau so wichtig wie das Weihnachtsfest selbst.

Am ersten Dezember beginnt die Adventszeit. In den Wohnungen hangen oder liegen Adventskrannze mit vier Kerzen. Am ersten Sonntag - moistens beim Nachmittagskaffee - zundet man die erste Kerze an, am zweiten Sonntag die zweite, am dritten die dritte, am letzten Sonntag vor Weihnachten brennen alle vier Kerzen. Der Adventskranz soll Segen bringen und Unheil abwenden.

В самом центре Лондона, на Трафальгарской площади стоит огромная зеленая ель - подарок от жителей Осло. И в каждом доме стоит маленькое вечнозеленое деревце, потому что такие деревья - символ вечной жизни. Под елочкой ставят ясельки с младенцем Христом, а дом украшают веточками остролиста и омелы. Остролиста - потому что перед смертью на Иисусе был венок из остролиста, а омела - символ любви и примирения. В день Рождества все прощают друг другу все обиды и просят прощение у всех, кого обидели.

Самое главное событие Рождества - праздничный обед с традиционной индюшкой или гусем, пудингом и рождественскими подарками.

Рождество - семейный праздник, все собираются за одним столом, разыгрывают сценку рождения Христа, играют в веселые игры, поют рождественские песни.

VAKULA: Oh, Oksana, you are so charming. You are the best, the most beautiful girl in the world! I can't eat, I can't sleep. Will you marry me?

GIRL: Don't believe him, Oksana. He's a crafty fellow.

OKSANA: How can you prove that you love me?

VAKULA: I'll make all your wishes come true.

OKSANA: I want to have the same shoes as the Tsarina herself wears. Get them for me.

GIRL: You are right, Oksana. That's a clever idea.

VAKULA: Good bye, Oksana. I'll either get you the shoes or die. (Уходит.)

OKSANA: I shouldn't have done that. I'm afraid something might happen to him. You know, I love him.

VAKULA: Oksana is heartless. Why do I love her so much? I'll get the shoes for her and even the devil won't be able to stop me!

DEVIL:

Hello, I'm the Devil. I'm here and I can do all my tricks again. Who is thinking about me?

VAKULA: Who are you?

DEVIL: I'm the Devil. Don't worry. I won't be in your way. I'll help you. You'll get the same cherevichky as the Tsarina wears. But we'll make a deal - you'll give me your soul for my assistance. That's settled then, isn't it?

VAKULA: You are not the Devil. You haven't got a tail, have you?

DEVIL: But I have. Can't you see it? Look, here it is.(Показывает хвост. Вакула хватает чёрта за хвост.)

VAKULA: I've caught you, and now I'll cross you.

DEVIL: (жалобно) Please, don't do that! Let me go!

VAKULA: No. At first you'll do what I tell you to do. (Вскакивает верхом на чёрта.) Take me to St. Petersburg!

Вакула и чёрт делают круг по сцене.

Scene 3

Автор: И вот наш герой прибывает в Петербург на прием к Екатерина Второй.

Екатерина II, Потёмкин, Фонвизин.

POTYOMKIN: Now, Your Majesty, I'll introduce to you one of the nationalities of your Empire.

FONVISZN: How interesting!

POTYOMKIN: These are the Zaporozhtsy. They protect our country.

FONVIZIN: I am curious to meet them. Could you repeat once again, please. I'll write it down.

POTYOMKIN: This fool annoys me so much.

CATHERINE ll: Don't pay attention to him. Perhaps, he'll write a play. Where are these people?

POTYOMKIN: Come in.

Входят Вакула и чёрт. Чёрт прячется за его спиной. Вакула его держит. Кланяются.

VAKULA: Good afternoon, Your Majesty.

CATHERINE II: Good afternoon. How are you?

Vakula: I am fine.

CATHERINE ll: So, what can I do for you?

VAKULA: Your Majesty, your shoes are so beautiful. Could you, please, give me the same ones for my girl?

Потёмкин злится.

FONVIZIN: (хохочет) Bravo! I am leaving you. I'll go to write a wonderful play right now. (Убегает.)

CATHERINE II: (улыбается, хлопает в ладоши) Bring him my shoes.

Scene 4

Оксана, девушки, парни. Появляется Вакула с сумкой.

OKSANA: Oh, Vakula, I'm so happy to see you again! I'll marry you!

VAKULA: Wait a minute, Oksana. See, what a present I have for you.

OKSANA: (заглядывает в сумку) How lovely they are, but I'm even more happy that you have returned.

Girl: There will be a wedding! There will be a wedding!

Vakula: And now let's celebrate Christmas!

Все герои выходят на сцену и поют

Ведущая на английском языке: On Christmas Eve Children leave a long sock or stocking at the end of their bed. They hope that Father Christmas will come down the chimney during the night and bring them small presents, fruit and nuts. In the morning on Christmas day children are very excited. They open their stockings and find presents in bright paper and ribbons. Many people go to church on that day. On returning from church the whole family gather round the tree.

There is a beautiful legend about Christmas stocking. Once upon a time there lived a poor man who had three daughters. The girls couldn`t marry because they had no trousseau. On Christmas Eve they washed their stockings, hung them in front of the fireplace and went to bed. Santa Claus decided to help the girls and threw a piece of gold into each stocking.

Ведущая-пераеводчик:Любящие и послушные дети получают рождественские подарки. Они развешивают свои маленькие чулочки у камина, а утром находят их полными гостинцев. Их принес Санта-Клаус.

Эта история началась давно, когда двое бедных ребятишек весь день бродили по городу, прося милостыню. Но никто не подал им ничего для ужина. Продрогшие и голодные, они вернулись домой, развесили свои мокрые от дождя и снега чулки у камина, чтобы просушить, а утром обнаружили, что они полны подарков. Господь сжалился над бедными детьми и повелел Санта-Клаусу одарить их гостинцами. Вот оно какое - Рождество.
