Тема: Герои Великой Отечественной войны.

Heroes of the Great Patriotic War.

Цель: Научить учащихся использовать английский язык в виде инструмента общения в диалоге культур современного мира.

Задачи: 1.Совершенствовать умения и навыки аудирования, чтения, говорения.

2.Развивать речь на основе восприятия новой лексики, умение

наблюдать, работать над развитием иноязычных филологических

навыков.

3.Воспитывать трепетное отношение к историческим событиям,

связанным с Великой Отечественной войной и нести ответственность

перед будущим.

4.Развитие патриотизма у школьников, осознание значения

взаимосвязи истории и современной жизни, пробуждение интереса

к истории.

Методические принципы: коммуникативная направленность, дифференцированное и интегрированное обучение всем аспектам языка и видам речевой деятельности; обеспечение вариативно-избирательного подхода к использованию языка на уроке и возможность проведения занятий в группе с разным уровнем языковой подготовки учащихся.

T. I am so glad to see you.

What is the weather like today?

The Great Patriotic War began in June, 1941. The people had to fight

against the fascists from the White Sea in the north to the Black Sea in the

south. They defended thousands of large and small towns and villages. Our

soldiers helped the peoples of many other countries to become free from

fascism. The heroic Soviet people not only defended their own country, they

saved the world.

The war ended in May, 1945. Victory was won at a high price. We must

remember those who did not come back from the war. Our duty is to re-

member the past, think about the future and defend peace.

Today we'll talk about one of such heroes. Maresyev Alexey Petrovich was a pilot. When the Great Patriotic War began he went to fight against the fascists. His feat of arms became an example of courage and heroism. Boris Polevoy wrote the book about this man, but the author changed the name of the main hero.

Meresyev turned to face the enemy.

The "Lavochkin-5" and the "Fokke-Wolf-190" were fast planes. They approached each other at lightning speed. Alexei Meresyev and the unknown

German ace of the famous Richthofen Division charged each other head on.

A head-on attack lasts an instant, even less than what it takes an experienced smoker to light a cigarette. But that instant creates such a nervous strain, puts all the airman's nerves to such a test as a fighter on the ground is not subjected to even in the course of a whole day's battle.

Picture yourself in one of the two fast fighters charging at each other at full combat speed. The enemy plane grows in size before your very eyes. Suddenly it confronts you in all its details: wings, the glistening circle of the revolving propeller, the black dots that are its guns. In another instant the planes will collide and split into so many fragments that it will be impossible to sort the remains of the pilot from the remains of the machine. Not only the pilot's will-power, but also all his moral fibre, is put to the test in that instant. The weak-nerved will not stand the strain. A man not prepared to die for the victory will instinctively pull the stick and leap over the deadly hurricane sweeping towards him; and in the next instant his machine will be hurtling to the ground with a ripped underside or a hacked-off wing. Nothing can save him. Experienced airmen know this perfectly well, and only the bravest dare to make a head-on attack.

The planes tore through the air.

Yes, I did. Many veterans lived in our village, but nowadays we have no one.
