Тема урока " The Problem of Ageing"
Цель урока: развитие речевых умений чтения с полным пониманием прочитанного
Задачи:
Практические: совершенствование навыка поискового чтения;
развитие лексических навыков монологической речи;
развитие умений аудирования.
Общеобразовательные: развитие способностей к логическим выводам и умозаключениям;
расширение словарного запаса.
Развивающие: развитие речевых способностей учащихся;
развитие мышления, умения адекватно оценивать себя.
Воспитательные: воспитание принципов здорового образа жизни;
потребность к сотрудничеству при работе в группах/парах.
Языковой материал: herbal medicine, ageing, cure, "shen", kidney, disease, infections, T-cells, Fas, low calorie.

Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы: It's easy for teenagers and the youth, but difficult for adults and old people. You need to be healthy.

People gets older but want to live longer

Now, it's time to read the text with these words. I want you to look through the text and answer the questions: What can help to slow the process of ageing?
What system is the herbal medicine based on?
Now choose the information that you know and that you want to know and write it in the table. (table 1)
Now find the equivalents in the text:

We discussed the problem of being forever young and we saw that each person have its own opinion whether to try to live forever and search some means for it, or just enjoy your life and not to think about the age. At home you'll write an essay ( 12-15 sentences). The topics are written for you. You can choose any of them. "Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise", "We come to die", "Let us die young or let us live forever". Let's translate them to be sure that you understand the task.
