Theme: FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN OUR LIFE

Aims:

1. To teach pupils the importance of learning the English language

2. To develop pupils' oral speech

3. To consolidate pupils' grammar knowledge.

Type: Competition lesson.

Ғасырбек: Good afternoon, dear boys and girls! We are glad to see you today! You know that on the 22nd of September people of our Republic celebrate the Day of Languages. It is an important day in our country. The President of our Republic pays a great attention for development of the languages.

Айжан: Здравствуйте, дорогие ребята! Сегодня мы собрались здесь, чтобы поговорить о том, как важна роль языков в нашем государстве. Республика Казахстан - многонациональное государство с богатой историей, культурой и традициями народов, проживающих на ее территории и поэтому 22 сентября Указом Президента Республики Казахстан Н. А. Назарбаевым, был объявлен днем языков народов Республики Казахстан.

Аягөз: Язык - это общественное явление, которое действует на протяжении всего существования человечества. История не знает ни одного человеческого коллектива, который бы не пользовался языком. И это понятно. Человек живет в обществе. Он постоянно связан с другими людьми. Средством общения служит язык. При помощи языка люди передают свои мысли, желания, чувства.

Талғат: Our language is connected with our thought and sense. It appeared in antiquity. It's close to the society's life. All languages developed under influence of economic, political and geographical conditions.

Учащийся 3: Президент нашего государства Нурсултан Назарбаев выступает за знание нескольких языков. И сегодня мы, нынешнее поколение, изучаем английский язык, так как это язык международного уровня.

Учащийся 4: English is a world language. It's the language of progressive science and technology, trade and Cultural relations, commerce and business. English is spoken by more than 350 million people. Geographically, it's the most widespread language on earth.

I. Introducing teams.

Ғасырбек: - We are glad to great you at our gamе

- Our game is called "Polyglot". Do you know the meaning of the word "polyglot"?

Айжан: - First of all let me introduce our teams and jury.

Ғасырбек: There are two teams here today. The first one is called GOLD FISH, and its captain is Beksultan.

Айжан: The second team is called GALAXY STAR, and its captain is Nazik.

The members of our jury are: ____________.

Ғасырбек: - Now listen to the rules of our game. It consists of several stages. They are deal with English, Russian and Kazakh languages. Next part is called "Guess the riddles!"

- Guess the riddles and try to translate the answer to three languages.

Айжан: - Отгадайте загадку и переведите отгадку на три языка - казахский, русский и английский.

1) It is running night and day but it never runs away. (A clock, часы, сағат.)

2) Лежал, лежал, да и в речку побежал. (Снег, snow, қар.)

3) Қар сияқты аппақ, өзі сондай тәтті - ақ . (Қант, сахар, sugar.)

4) What has legs but cannot run? (a chair, стул, орындық.)

5) Длинное хвостище, рыжее волосище, сама хитрище. (Лиса, a fox, түлкі.)

6) Ол жұмса көзін ұйықтаймыз өзім. (Шырағы, лампа, a lamp.)

7) The little old man who has 12 children. (А year, год, жыл.)

8) I have cities but no houses; forests but no trees; rivers without water; what am I? (А map, карта.)

10) What has no head, no arms, no legs, and still has a tongue? (А shoe, аяқ киім, обувь.)

Чтение стихотворений о языке.

Чтец 1:

Love languages

There's ways that we communicate our love

Profess that one will fit you like a glove

However, if not one you can have two

A primary and secondary cue [kju:]

With Words of Affirmation number one

A person feels your love not over-done

Encourage mate with words, is not to late

A verbal "I love you" uplifts, awe-great

The second one is time that's quality

Would add some quantity if it were me

"You-Daddy work so hard, support us all"

"The time with me can't be replaced too small"

Communicate your love a giving Gift

Much worldly wealth or pray that one is thrift

Are many ways to share your giving heart

Important, find the way to love then start

The fourth is Acts of Service to and fro

Feel love from what each other can bestow

Be sure you realize this goes both ways

To know what fills your mates love tank ablaze

And last is Physical Propinquity

Affection, even close proximity

The phrase once coined that says "touch you to breathe"

Is more than copulate, attempt conceive

Our Strange Lingo

When the English tongue we speak

Why is break not rhymed with freak?

Will you tell me why it's true

We say sew but likewise few?

And the maker of a verse

Cannot cap his horse with worse?

Beard sounds not the same as heard -

Cord is different from word.

Cow is cow, but low is low -

Shoe is never rhymed with foe.

Think of hose and dose and lose,

and of goose - and yet of choose.

Think of comb and tomb and bomb.

Doll and roll, and home and some.

and since pay is rhymed with say,

Why not paid with said, I pray?

We have blood and food and good -

Mould is not pronounceed like could.

Wherefore done, but gone and lone -

Is there any reason known?

And, in short, it seems to me

Sounds and letters disagree!

Aйжан: - Каждая команда представляет шоу о дне языков народов Казахстана, используя при этом языки.

The team is the gold fish. "Little Red Riding Hood"

Персонажи:

Красная Шапочка (Girl)

Мама (Mum)

Бабушка (Granny)

Волк (Wolf)

1 Охотник (Man 1)

2 Охотник (Man 2)

Реквизит: корзинка (с любым содержимым, изображающим еду), стулья и покрывало (изображающие кровать), подушка (съеденная бабушка), искусственные цветы, игрушечные ружья, костюмы персонажей.

(Красная Шапочка выходит на сцену, обращается к публике)

Girl: Hello! I'm Little Red Riding Hood. (выходит Мама) And this is my Mum.

Mum: Go to your Granny. (протягивает девочке корзинку с едой) Give her the cake and the pot of butter.

Girl: All right, Mum. Goodbye!

Mum: Goodbye! (мама уходит).

(Девочка идёт по сцене, напевая, собирая цветы. Появляется волк.)

Wolf: Hello, little girl! What's your name?

Girl: Little Red Riding Hood.

Wolf: Where are you going?

Girl: To my Granny.

Wolf: Where does she live?

Girl: In a little house near the forest.

Wolf: Oh, I see. Goodbye!

Girl: Goodbye!

(Волк убегает со сцены. Девочка медленно уходит, собирая цветы.)

(Выходит бабушка, садится в "кровать". Вбегает волк, стучит в воображаемую дверь.)

Wolf: Knock-knock!

Granny: Who's there?

Wolf: (тоненьким голосом, вкрадчиво) It's me, Little Red Riding Hood!

Granny: Come in, please. (волк заходит и набрасывается на бабушку) …Oh, a wolf! Help, help!!

(Бабушка убегает со сцены, волк бежит за ней.)

(Волк возвращается, поглаживая живот - под одежду можно подложить подушку, изображающую съеденную бабушку. На волке одежда бабушки, очки.)

Wolf: Oh, I'm still hungry. I'll wait for the girl. (Волк садится на "кровать". Появляется Красная Шапочка, стучит в "дверь".)

Girl: Knock-knock!

Wolf: Who's there?

Girl: It's me, Little Red Riding Hood!

Wolf: Come in, please.

(Девочка входит, показывает волку корзинку с едой.)

Girl: I've got a cake and a pot of butter for you.

Wolf: Thank you. Come nearer, please.

(Девочка подходит к волку, разглядывает его. Говорит с удивлением, показывая на себе соответствующие части тела.)

Girl:Why have you got such big eyes, Granny?

Wolf: To see you better. (протирает глаза.)

Girl: Why have you got such big ears, Granny?

Wolf: To hear you better. (прикладывает ладонь к уху, делая вид, что прислушивается.)

Girl: Why have you got such big teeth, Granny?

Wolf: To eat you! (вскакивает, набрасывается на Красную Шапочку.)

Girl: Help, help!

(Появляются охотники.)

Man 1: Stop! Hands up! (Охотник наводит на волка ружьё, волк поднимает руки вверх, пытается убежать.)

Man 2: Catch the wolf!

(Охотники уводят волка, возвращаются с бабушкой)

Granny: Thank you!

Girl: Thank you very much!

Man1, Man2: Not at all!

The team is the galaxy stars "The Gingerbread Man"

Персонажи:

Дедушка (Grandpa)

Бабушка (Granny)

Пряничный человечек (Man)

Кролик (Rabbit)

Волк (Wolf)

Медведь (Bear)

Лиса (Fox)

Реквизит: костюмы персонажей.

Можно варьировать количество перснонажей (от которых убегает пряничный человечек) в зависимости от числа участников.

(Дедушка поглаживает себя по животу)

Grandpa: Oh, I'm hungry!

Granny: I'll make a gingerbread man.

Grandpa: Good idea!

(Бабушка уходит, возвращается, ведя пряничного человечка)

Granny: Here's the gingerbread man.

Grandpa: Oh, it can run! Catch him!

(Пряничный человечек убегает от дедушки, выкрикивая рифмовку.)

Man: Run, run, as fast as you can!

You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!

(На сцене появляется кролик, подходит к бабушке и дедушке.)

Grandpa: Hello, Rabbit!

Rabbit: Hello! Can I help you?

Granny: Yes! Can you catch the gingerbread man?

Rabbit: All right, I'll try.

(Кролик бежит за пряничным человечком, тот убегает, делая круг по сцене, выкрикивая рифмовку.)

Man: Run, run, as fast as you can!

You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!

(Кролик убегает. На сцене появляется волк, подходит к бабушке и дедушке.)

Grandpa: Hello, Wolf!

Wolf: Hello! Can I help you?

Granny: Yes! Can you catch the gingerbread man?

Wolf: All right, I'll try.

(Волк бежит за пряничным человечком, тот делает круг по сцене, выкрикивая рифмовку.)

Man: Run, run, as fast as you can!

You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!

(Волк убегает. На сцене появляется медведь, подходит к бабушке и дедушке.)

Grandpa: Hello, Bear!

Bear: Hello! Can I help you?

Granny: Yes! Can you catch the gingerbread man?

Bear: All right, I'll try.

(Медведь бежит за пряничным человечком, тот делает круг по сцене, выкрикивая рифмовку.)

Man: Run, run, as fast as you can!

You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!

(Медведь убегает. На сцене появляется лиса, подходит к пряничному человечку.)

Fox: Hello, gingerbread man!

(Пряничный человечек бежит на месте, выкрикивая рифмовку.)

Man: Run, run, as fast as you can!

Fox: (прикладывая ладонь к уху) I'm sorry, I can't hear you. Can you come nearer, please?

(Пряничный человечек подбегает ближе к лисе.)

Man: …You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!

Fox: I'm sorry, I can't hear you. (указывает на свой нос) Can you come to my nose, please?

Man: All right.

(Пряничный человечек подбегает совсем близко к лисе.)

Fox: Now, can you say it again, please?

Man: Run, run, as fast as you can! …

(Лиса хватает человечка и делает вид, что съедает - человечек прячется. Лиса поворачивается к публике, облизывается.)

Fox: Yes, it's a tasty gingerbread man!

Ғасырбек: the next round "SING A SONG"

The galaxy stars:

Aйжан:- Каждый капитан команды должен рассказать о себе на казахском или английском языке в интересной форме.

Ғасырбек: Наш праздник подходит к концу. Не зная иностранного языка, нельзя узнать родной. Изучая иностранные языки мы открываем мир .

Айжан: Чем больше языков мы знаем, тем легче нам понимать людей разных стран.

Ғасырбек и Айжан: Давайте изучать иностранные языки!
