Цели урока

1. Обучающие:

- развивать навыки чтения и устной речи.

2. Развивающие:

- активизировать внимание учеников на занятии, создавать благоприятный психологический климат;

- развивать умения обобщать; развивать память;

- развивать умения познавательной деятельности.

3. Воспитывающие:

- воспитывать у учащихся интерес к изучению традиций и обычаев Англии.

Задачи урока:

1. Учить понимать на слух связанный текст

2. Учить употреблять в речи пройденные на предыдущих занятиях слова и словосочетания

3. Развивать умения и навыки монологической и диалогической речи, выражать свое мнение , обосновывая с помощью 2-3 фраз

4. Познакомить учащихся с достопримечательностями Лондона

ОБРАЗОВАТЕЛЬНАЯ: пробудить интерес к стране изучаемого языка: истории и культуре Великобритании; повысить уровень языковой компетенции; формировать лексические навыки аудирования, чтения, извлечения информации из медиатекста; совершенствовать коммуникативные навыки; формировать умения обобщать, анализировать и систематизировать информацию

Оборудование: картинки по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона», компьютер, магнитофон, интерактивная доска, ноутбук, карта Англии, виды Лондона, презентация по теме.

Главная дидактическая цель: Используя приемы технологии развития критического мышления через чтение и письмо, стимулирующие мыслительную и творческую деятельность учеников, учить извлекать необходимую информацию, заложенную в страноведческом тексте.

Методы: объяснительно-иллюстративный, репродуктивный, частично-поисковый.

Today we are going to travel?

Buckingham Palace is the London home of the Queen. When the flag is flying on the top she is at home. There are 600 rooms in Buckingham Palace . It has an indoor swimming pool and a cinema. Changing of the Guard happens every day at 11 a.m.

Trafalgar Square is the popular place for people to meet. In the middle of the square there is Nelson's Column, which is 51 m high To the left you can see the National Gallery. It has a fine collection of European paintings.

Hamleys is the biggest toy shop in London. There are six floors with millions of toys. It is named after William Hamley, who founded a toy shop called "Noah's Ark"

• London is situated on the river Thames. It is very deep and beautiful. You can see the Tower of London from the river Thames.
  Tower Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in London. It is over a hundred years old.
  Hyde Park is the famous park in London. Londoners can walk and jog in the park, eat their sandwiches, talk, sunbathe, read books and enjoy music. There are no signs like "Do not walk on the grass".In the park anyone can stand up and say what they want. It is a very democratic park.

• In the museum there are more than 1000 figures of outstanding figures of policy, arts, outstanding commanders and great scientists. Sounds, smells and moving figures create additional sensations.

• The Sherlock Holmes Museum is a privately run museum in London, England, dedicated to the famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes. It opened in 1990 and is situated in Baker Street, bearing the number 221B You can see personal things of famous detective created by the legendary writer Arthur Conan Doyle.

• Harry Potter museum/ Visitors can visit the most mysterious places of the castle, the main hall of the school of magic and witchcraft, the office of Professor Dumbledore, the bedroom Harry Potter and the house of Hagrid's.

The Tower of London is a very big castle. It is a very old place in London. It was a fortress, a royal palace, later a prison. It is a museum now. There are a lot of interesting collections in the Tower of London. The ravens are another famous sight. The legend says that without them the Tower will fall.

London is a land of traditions and a very deep history. We want to show you a very short scene from the life of Tower of London. This is a ceremony of keys and it is 700 years old (заранее 2 ученика подготовили диалог - сценку бифитеров) Lets watch the scene/

Who are they? They are well-known beefeaters. They work in the Tower.

• Ceremony keys. Every evening the main guard of a Tower leaves the gate with the lighted lantern and goes together with an honourable escort to the Bloody Tower, then locks the Western gate and the Average tower. And, at last, all the procession moves back to the Bloody Tower which gate has already a sentry.

Yesterday my friend and I went to the Tower of London. There we heard 'the Legend about the Ravens of the Tower'. And I`d like you to know it.

But before the legend, please look at the new words and remember them:

And now is the legend itself.

The Legend of the Ravens in the Tower of London takes us to Geoffrey of Monmouth. He lived about a thousand years ago. In 1136 Geoffrey of Monmouth wrote a book called 'the History of the Kings of Britain'. In this book Geoffrey wrote about an early British King Bran Hen. The Welsh word for Raven is Bran. This ancient king was killed in a battle. He asked to bury his head, as a talisman against enemies, on the land where the Tower of London now stands. To this day ravens are highly important occupants (жители) of the Tower of London. And the legend says, that if all the ravens leave the Tower one day, the White Tower will fall so will England.

That`s why there are special people called Beefeaters in the Tower. They take care of the birds.

Usually ravens live up to 20 years. But the raven called Jim Crow, lived up to 44 years in the Tower of London.

You are always welcome to feel the legendary atmosphere of the Tower.
