The theme: « Hobbies and Sport»

Задачи урока:

  1. Контроль монологической речи

  2. Контроль основных умений и навыков, над которыми велась работа в данном цикле.

  3. Формировать грамматические навыки говорение (перевод прямой речи в косвенную, согласования времен).

  4. Совершенствовать речевые навыки по теме.

  5. Развивать умение воспринимать информацию на слух, с целью извлечения конкретной информации.

План урока.

  1. Приветствие: ввод темы урока.

  2. Беседа о хобби. Монологическая речь.

  3. Вопросы к учащимся.

  4. Аудирование.

  5. Закрепление грамматической темы.

  6. Диалогическая речь учащихся с использованием косвенной речи.

  7. Итог урока.

  8. Домашнее задание.







Ход урока.

T: Hello boys and girls. Nice to see you. How are you getting on?

P-s: Nice to see you too. Fine, thanks. And you?

T: Frankly speaking it's so-so.

P-s: What's up? What's the matter?

T: Only troubles. I have got a problem. The reason is my husband. He has just gone to fish. He went to fish yesterday. He is going to fish tomorrow. I'm sick of it! I want to go to the concerts. I want to go to the theatre. I'd like to visit my relatives. I think it's more interesting than fishing. In my opinion fishing is boring.

P1 - I don't quite agree with you. I think fishing is very interesting and useful. I would like to tell you about it. My hobby is fishing too. I like to seat on the bank of the river staring to the float in the morning. I have got a good fishing road, a lot of hooks. I like to catch many kinds of fish, pike…

T: Well, I see. Fishing is not as boring as I think. I agree with you. So boys and girls as you see our lesson is about hobbies. Now. Look at this word. What is your association with this word?

T: Now tell me please. What' a hobby?

P. Hobbies differ like tastes. If you have chosen a hobby according to your character and taste you are lucky because your life becomes more interesting. Hobbies are divided into four large classes: doing things, making things, collecting things and learning things.

P2.The most popular of all hobby groups is doing things. It includes a wide variety of activities, everything from gardening to traveling and from chess to volleyball. Both grown- ups and children are fond of playing different computer games. This is a relatively new hobby but it' becoming more and more popular.

P3. Making things includes drawing, painting, making sculpture, designing costumes, handicrafts. Almost everyone collects something at some period in his life: stamps, coins, matchboxes, books, records, postcards, toys, watches. No matter what kind of hobby a person has he always has the opportunity of from it. Learning things can be the most exciting aspect of a hobby.

T: Now, tell me please what your hobby is.

T: Do you know my hobby? Try to guess. My hobby is embroidery. Do you like it?

Elvira your hobby is cooking isn't it?

P: My hobby is cooking. I like to make cakes and pies. My cakes are very tasty but I like pies best of all. My parents and friends like to eat my pies.

T: Aidar, your hobby is spot isn't it?

P2: My hobby is sport. Sport plays a great role in my life. I go to our local hockey club every spare minute and my dream is to become a hockey player. I am a fan of "Ak bars" and I get my upset when they lose. I'll never betray my favorite team.

T: And what about you Gulnara? Are you fond of sport?

P: I am not fond of sport. I don't like to compete, but I like to watch sport on TV.

T: And you Niyaz are you fond of sport?

P: I am not crazy about sport, but I think it is very important to keep in good form and stay healthy.

T: What reasons can you add to Niyaz point of view? But may be you can give reasons against sport.

P1 Ilyas. As for me I think sport builds character.

P2 Landysh. Sport is very useful but it takes a lot of energy.

P3 Liliya. In my opinion sport makes men out of boys.

P4 Rinat. I agree with her it makes us strong.

P5 Danis. Sport helps people to become good friends.

T: What kinds of sport are popular in England and USA?

T: Let's listen the dialogue, these two boys. Imagine that they live in Gr. Br. They tell us about popular sport in Gr. Br.

P1: I hear tennis is very popular in Great Britain.

P2: Oh, yes, tennis is played all the year round - on hard courts or grass courts in summer and on hard or covered courts in winter.

P1: What other outdoor games are popular in Gr. Br.?

P2: Hockey, golf, football and cricket.

P1: What about horse - racing?

T: What sports are popular in Russia?

T: Let's watch TV. And tell me what kind of sport it is. Смотрим телевизор. Open your books at p.250. Read some sentences about this game.

T: Аудирование. Now. Let's listen the text. And now put these sentences in the right order.

  1. First, I think, I was a great collector of different things.

  2. I think, I became fond of spots.

  3. When I finishing school my parents bought me a computer.

  4. Then on day I had an idea to write a story about my dog.

T. What hobbies Mr. Davis had? Well, you see that writing stories about animals was Mr. Davis' hobby. Then his hobby becomes his profession.

T. Let's test you home task. You had got a chance to work in groups and you created a project. Show us please. And tell some sentences.

T. Now let's repeat our grammar reported speech. I'd like to repeat some rules for you. If you want to use reported speech you should remember the following things: when we use reported speech, we are usually talking about the past. Verbs usually change to the past in reported speech.

For example am is- was; has, have- had; will- would.

T; Now change these sentences to the reported speech.

He asked me what I did in my spare time. He said that his father was in hospital. He asked what my hobby was.

T: Now boys and girls, listen to the dialogue with using sentences in reported speech.

  • There is a new film on at the Tatarstan. Shall we go and see it?

  • Thank you. I'd like to very much. Will Guzel come too?

  • No, I invited her but she said she would be busy.

  • What a pity.

And at the end of our lesson let's read a very good poem. Look at the blackboard, please.
