ВИКТОРИНА «ИСТОРИЯ ОЛИМПИЙСКИХ ИГР»

Цели мероприятия - формирование навыков чтения, монологической речи учащихся, аудирования, письма. Активизация лексики по теме «Олимпийские виды спорта».

Воспитательные задачи - воспитывать уважительное отношение к культурным ценностям, спорту, воспитание таких черт характера, как взаимопомощь и сотрудничество, продолжение формирования страноведческого кругозора.

Развивающие задачи - умения применять лексику по теме "Спорт", узнать больше об истории Олимпийских игр, развивать логическое мышление, умение обобщать, сравнивать; развитие навыков самостоятельной работы и работы в команде.

Оснащение - , картинки по теме «Спорт», мультимедийная презентация к уроку.

Действующие лица:

Жюри (the jury).

2-е команды (2 teams).

Преподаватель (the teacher).

Ход мероприятия

1. Вводно-мотивационный этап:

2. Речевая зарядка:

Everybody knows that sport is an important part in our life. It helps us in different ways: to have good health, to build our character. Sport makes us strong, fast, patient.

Do you like sports? Do you go in for sports? What is your favorite sport?

3. Reading the text. Checking up of the homework.

Well, and do you know what the major sport event will be held in Russia this year? Yes, you are right, it`s the Olympic games. At home you have translated the text and now we are going to read it again and remember the most important information about the history of the Olympics. Afterwards we will have a quiz on this topic.

4. Объяснение условий викторины.

Деление класса на 2 команды. Выполнение заданий. Оценивание правильного ответа осуществляется «медалями». Команда с наибольшим количеством медалей становится победителем.

Teacher: - Listen to the rule: you will see the certain kind of sport in our screen and write down them in your papers. The names of the sports must be written in correct form. Each correct name of sport will be estimated like one point.

На экране по очереди появляются картинки следующих видов спорта:

Football, Chess, Tennis, Basketball, , Snowboarding, Surfing, Bungee jumping, Skiing, Skating, Cycling, Hockey .Swimming, Volleyball, Diving.

8. Аудирование. Задача - дать название игры."What sports they are"

Teacher: - Now I will give you the descriptions of some kinds of sport and your task is to listen and say what sports they are.

1. Game played on a court with a large orange ball. In each team there are five players. Two teams try to score goals. They throw a ball through a net fixed in the middle of the court. The players bounce the ball run and pass it to each other. The team which gets the most points wins (Basketball.)

2. There are two teams and it is played on a field. Each team consists of nine players. The teams take turns playing in the field and batting the small white ball with the bat. (Baseball.)

3. It is a game, played between. Each team consists of eleven players. Players kick a ball and run around a field trying to score a goal. The team with the most points wins. This game is extremely popular in our country and all over the world. (Football.)

4. It is an English national game. People played it in England from1550. It is a very long game. International matches last for 5 days. This game is not played only by men but also girls and women. (Cricket.)

5. It is a game of two players. Every player starts with sixteen different playing pieces to move on a board. The goal is to move your pieces so that your opponent's king will be taken. (Chess.)

XII. Подведение итогов викторины:

Teacher: - The game is over. Now I want the jury to estimate the teams and account the points.

Жюри объявляет результаты.

Chief: - If you have good health you in a good mood. We must eat fruits and vegetables and of course go in for sports. Thank you for your attention!
