Тема: «Написание историй».

Цель: развитие навыков письменной речи.

Задачи:

Образовательные:

формировать умение использовать прошедшие времена при написании истории;

формировать умение рассказывать о праздниках по образцу.

Развивающие:

развивать навыков написания историй.

расширять социокультурных компетенций.

Воспитательныe:

формировать интерес учащихся к познанию окружающего мира.

Good morning, students!

- Students, look at the blackboard. The topic of our today's lesson is writing stories. Today we are going to learn how to do it and what makes a good story.

Who are these people?

What are they doing?

Where do you think they go for the vacation?

How are they going to spend their holidays?

Use your imagination to describe the place.

Students describe the picture.

Suggested answer:

I can see a family in the picture. There are four people. They are the parents and their daughters. They all are smiling, so I think they're happy about going on vacation. They are going on the board of the plane. I suppose they are going to a resort, perhaps Hawaii. Children will swim in the sea while their parents will be sunbathing on the beach.

Alright, I see you've all done your homework very well. Have you got any questions? Was it hard for you?

Now let's see how you have learnt the words. I will ask you a word in Russian and you are to translate it in English:

Now, open your books and read the theory box in ex. 1, which contains the information about writing a story.

  • What is a story?



  • What tenses do we use to write a story?

  • How many paragraphs should a story include?

Now I see that you have understood how to write a good story.

Students read the theory and discuss it with the teacher.


  • A story is a description of real or imaginary events that happened to us or to someone else.


  • A variety of Past tenses.

  • A story should include four paragraphs.

6. Закрепление теоретической части.

Now let's take a look at an excellent example of an interesting story and answer some questions after reading it. Who wants to read it out loud to everybody?

Suggested answer:

1 The story took place at the Notting Hill

Carnival.

2 The main characters were two friends,

Rachel and Sarah.

3 The weather was hot and sunny and then

there was a sudden thunderstorm.

4 They found each other and had coffee in a

café.

Suggested answer to the ex. 3:

Paragraphs 2 and 3 develop the story.

Paragraph 1 sets the scene.

Paragraph 4 ends the story.

The writer has used a variety of past tenses

(past simple + continuous + past perfect).
