The kingdom of Languages

Dear our guests and pupils .Welcome to our competition which is called "The kingdom of Languages ". We are celebrating the day of languages, we must know our Kazakh language and care it. At the same time we must learn English and Russian. If you know more languages you can know more information about the country, it's development ,culture and get a job any where ,any time. It's one of the main tasks in our country. Our competition is consists of 5 parts .We decided to do our tasks with the help of stations where we can show our knowledge.

So ,the first: " The station of words.

The second: "The station of topics".

The third: "The station of grammar".

The fourth : "The station of captains".

The fifth: "The station of home tasks".

At the end we'll meet with each other at the "Kingdom of Knowledge".

Let's begin our competition.

I. The station of words. Look at the picture and say words in 3 languages:

Apple, mountain, water, cake, banana, children ,rose(flower),a car, bridge, Big Ben.

II. The station of topics. Read the text and translate into Kazakh and Russian

This is Aset .She is from Astana. She is 11 .Astana is a capital of Kazakhstan.

Aset likes reading and listening to music. He enjoys playing tennis and painting. He has a sister. He knows two languages ,English and French .His favourite subject is English literature .He doesn't like people who smoke. He has a friend, his name is Murat .

This is Mike. He's from London. It is a capital of England. Mike is 12. He has a sister, her name is Bella. His favourite school subject is maths, and history. He's good at football. He has a dog. It's name is Jack. He studies French at school. He wants to learn Russian. He doesn't like people who leave their chewing gums under the tables.

III. The station of grammar. Complete the sentences with the Past Simple form of the verbs :

The first theme

Susan Peel is ninety years old. She is very happy , but she can remember times when her life……….. difficult . (to be)
