Внеклассное мероприятие «Merry Christmas!»

Цель: расширение знаний о культуре страны изучаемого языка: о праздновании Рождества в англоговорящих странах. Способствовать сплочению коллектива учащихся при проведении мероприятия.

Задачи:

1. Знакомство с некоторыми рождественскими традициями. Активизация лексики по теме «Рождество и Новый год». Развитие коммуникативной и кросс-культурной компетенций.

2. Стимулирование развития познавательной деятельности учащихся.

3. Развитие навыков «слушания», выразительного чтения, слуховой памяти, словесно - логического мышления, устойчивости внимания, целостности восприятия. Активизация творческих способностей учащихся и интереса к предмету.

4. Воспитание толерантности и уважения к другой культуре; воспитание личностных качеств (трудолюбие, активность, умение работать в сотрудничестве с другими, коммуникабельность, личная и взаимная ответственность).

Оборудование: ПК, мультимедийный проектор, новогодние аудиозаписи на английском языке, карточки с заданиями, рождественские украшения, свечи, бенгальские огни.

Тип урока - обобщение и систематизация

I этап - организационный (1 минута).

Группа входит в класс, рассаживается. В кабинете создана обстановка, максимально погружающая в рождественскую атмосферу: иллюминация, свечи в разнообразных подсвечниках, рождественские символы - красный чулок с подарками, красные колпаки, венок из омелы.

II этап - приветственное слово учителей (1 минут)

P1: It's the 25^th of December.

T: What kind of date is the 25^th of December?

P2: It's Christmas.

T: You are quite right. Many people in different countries celebrate Christmas on the 25^th of December, Catholic Christmas, one of the greatest holidays. It smells Christmas here. The topic of our lesson is "Christmas is in the air".

You know, Russian people also celebrate this holiday. When is this holiday celebrated in Russia?

P3: It's celebrated on the 7^th January.

T: Right you are. But why is it so? Why do people in different countries celebrate Christmas on the 25^th of December or on the 7^th of January? You can explain in Russian.

3 Этап Today we have a Christmas party. We will divide into 2 groups. Every group will say its name and choose its leader. Take a card to find out your group.

4 Этап Music is very important in Christmas Celebrations. Hundreds of Christmas songs come from all over the world. In the Middle Ages Christmas Carols become popular. The word "Carol" means "a round dance". Often the carolers dance in the street round the tree in the park.

The first task is to guess the Christmas song and sing it. (Звучат рождественские песни по 2 шт и команды их угадывают) Jingle bells, We wish you a merry Christmas - их надо спеть, и еще 2 просто угадать.

5 Этап You must answer the questions (в учебнике квиз) and then match the question with the answer. На листочке письменно каждая команда на скорость. (Любое на выбор твой)

6 этап - игра в ассоциации (5-6 минут). Играют две команды: команда выходит из класса, а ее капитан остается. В течение минуты капитан первой команды должен назвать 5 слов, которые у него ассоциируются с предложенным словом. Члены команды не слышат слов, названных их капитаном. Они входят в класс по одному, каждому из них предложено назвать ассоциации с тем же словом.

Побеждает та команда, которая угадала наибольшее количество слов, сказанных капитаном.

Для первой команды слово "Santa Claus" (Christmas, New Year, New Year Tree, holidays, cold, sleigh, tasty things, holiday dinner, snow, winter, December).

Для второй команды слово "Winter Holidays" (Christmas, New Year, New Year Tree, skating, skiing, friends, relatives, rest, watching TV).

7 этап - написание пожеланий на новый год (1 минута).

T: Now let's speak about one more Christmas tradition. Presents in the Stockings. What does it mean? Why are Christmas presents put into the Stockings? Согласно рождественской легенде жил в давние времена один знатный, но очень бедный человек. У него умерла жена, и он остался один с тремя дочерьми. Девушки не могли выйти замуж, поскольку у них не было приданого. Однажды в канун Рождества они выстирали чулки и развесили их перед камином. Санта-Клаус решил помочь бесприданницам и бросил в каждый чулок по золотому слитку, чтобы они смогли выйти замуж. С тех пор в рождественскую ночь дети в Англии развешивают чулки перед камином, а утром находят в них подарки.

X этап - подведение итогов и вручение подарков из чулка (1 минута).

XI этап - организация домашнего задания (1 минута).

XII этап - заключительный (3 - 4 минуты).
