План-конспект внеклассного мероприятия на английском языке "St.Valentine'sparty" в 8 классе.

Цель: расширить знания о традициях и обычаях англо-говорящих стран.

Задачи: 1. Ознакомить учащихся с историей появления праздника «День святогоВалентина».

2. Активизировать учебные знания и умения учащихся.

3. Стимулировать интерес к изучению английского языка.

4. Воспитать уважительное отношение к культуре англоязычных стран.

Оборудование: наглядные пособия, компьютер, шарики, картинки для пазлов, карточки со словами (для конкурса), поделка-сердце, название мероприятия на доске из бумаги.

Ход мероприятия

Teacher : Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, our guests. Today we are going to celebrate the most romantic holiday-St Valentine's Day.At first you'll learn some facts about the history of this holiday, then you are going to listen to very charming love poems, a song about love and see an interesting competition. So, let's begin.

1. Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday which is celebrated on the 14^th of February in Great Britain, the USA, and in many European countries. No one really knows its actual origin.

2. Some people believe that Saint Valentine was the saint patron of birds. The legend tells that birds choose their mates and begin to build their nests.

3. One of the traditions of this holiday is to send valentine's cards with romantic messages and give their sweethearts small gifts - flowers and sweets.

4. Of course, I would. I think it will be exciting.

   And they do such nice things
   Every day that they live.

3. St. Valentine's Day is a religious holiday. According to one story, St. Valentine was a priest who would marry young couples against the orders of the Roman Emperor Claudius 11, who believed that single young men made better soldiers.

4. Countless generations of young people have acknowledged St. Valentine as the patron of lovers. By the way, one of the most famous symbols of love is Cupid, the Roman God of Love, who is represented as a young boy with a bow and arrows.

5. People began to do it more than two centuries ago. And what about love poems and love confessions? Would you like to listen to some of them?
