Boys and girls, today we shall revise grammar of previous lessons, learn some new grammar rules, learn new vocabulary on the theme "My house" and make a dialogue.

4. Grammar presentation:

There is /are.

• Употребляется в английском языке, когда мы говорим о местонахождении какого-либо предмета по следующей схеме:

• Находится

• Что?

• Где?

Example:

There is a book on the table.

Находится что? Гдe?

There is flower on the table.

There are flowers on the table.

There isn't flower on the table.

There aren't flowers on the table.

• Предложения с конструкцией There is / There are переводятся на русский язык с конца.

Example:

There are pupils in the class.

В классе ученики.

There are apples in the basket.

В корзине яблоки.

There is a book on the table.

На столе книга.

• Употребляется в единственном числе:

There is a boy in the room.

• При перечислении предметов, если первое существительное стоит в ед.числе:

There is a door and two windows in the room.

• Если первое существительное неисчисляемое:

There is milk in the cup.

• Употребляется перед существительным во множественном числе:

There are pupils in the class.

There are many books on the shelf.

There are apples in the basket.

Вопросительные предложения с There is /are.

• Образуются по схеме:

Pre - listening: answer:

1. Is there a TV in your living room?

Etc.

While - listening: now we are going t listen to the description of the room. We shall listen two times. While listening you should complete the sentences.

After - listening:

1. Make sentences about Nicole's living room: a sofa, a lot of books, a CD player, a TV, armchairs, some CD's.

2. Ask and answer the questions about Nicole's living room: TV, photos, a radio, a CD player, a telephone, a video recorder, lamps, pictures.

3. Work with the partner, describe your living room.
