Plan

1. Organization moment.

• Good afternoon, pupils!

• Good afternoon, teacher!

• I'm glad to see you!

• Who is on duty today?

• Who is absent?

• What date is it today?

• What season is it now?

• Thank you, you may sit down!

2. Phonetic drill.

- Let's begin our lesson. Let's read new phonetic drill. At first I'll read, than repeat after me altogether:

Early to bed

And early to rise.

Makes a man healthy

Wealthy and wise.

3. Checking up the hometask.

• Very well. Let's check up your hometask. What was your hometask for today?

Ex 8, p 84. Are the sentences true or false?

1. Asel is well. T

2. Carol feels very bad. T

3. Carol has a high temperature. T

4. Carol takes pills for her cold. T

5. Asel thinks Carol should keep warm. T

6. Honey and lemon is good for a cold. T

4. New theme.

• Today's our new theme is "Health problems".

New words. I'll give you new words writing on paper. You must write this new words into your vocabulary. Just now, all of you listen to me and repeat after me:

Health - денсаулық

Headache - бас ауруы

Sore throat - тамақ ауруы

Liquid - сұйық зат

Cough - жөтел

Fever - қызу, температура

Burn - күйік, жану, күю

• Open your vocabulary notebooks and write down these new words.

• Today's our grammar rule is: Present Continuous Tense.

5. Doing exercises.

• Now pupils let's doing exercises.

Ex 2, p 85. Look at the pictures. Write sentences in the present continuous tense. Use the words from the table.

What are they doing?

The doctor is taking his temperature.

The doctor is feeling her pulse.

The doctor is listening his lungs.

The doctor is examining his throat.

The doctor is writing a prescription.

The girl is taking a tablet.

Ex 5, p 86. Look at the health problems. Find good advice for each problem. Check the meaning of the new words in your dictionary.

1. A bad headache a) Don't lift anything heavy.

2. A sore throat b)Take tablets to bring down temperature

3. A backache c) Slowly pour on cold water.

4. A cough d) Drink lots of liquis and stay in bed.

5. A toothache e) Take some aspirin.

6. A fever f) Get some medicine from the chemist's.

7. A burn g) Gargle with herbs.
