1. Чтение, перевод текста- Ex.3, p.14

A. Sue likes listening to music. She doesn't have a favorite subject because she likes all of them. Her mother is French, she can speak French as well as English. Her hair is dark and long. She doesn't like people who leave their chewing gum under tables. She doesn't have any brothers or sisters.

B. Terry likes reading and listening to music. He enjoys playing tennis and volleyball. He has a sister. He knows two languages, English and French. His favorite subject is English literature. He doesn't like people who smoke. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

C. Kate likes hiking in the mountains and playing chess. She has one sister and one brother. Her favourite subject is Biology! She knows a little Russian. She doesn't like people who go hunting. She has black hair and grey eyes.

D. Steve enjoys playing football. He's on the school team He also likes basketball. His favourite subject is P. E. (physic education) and games. He knows a few words of Spanish but h doesn't like learning foreign languages. He has two brothers He doesn't like doing homework.

Work in two groups Group A Read about London

London lies on the river Thames. It has a population of over 6 million people. It's an old city. London is famous for its historic buildings St. Paul's Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament, where you can see and hear the famous clock, Big Ben. It's also famous for its parks. There are five in the city centre. Children's favourite place is Hamleys, which is the biggest toyshop in the world.

London has problems with traffic and pollution. Over one million people a day use the London underground, but there are still too many cars.

Group B read about Astana

Astana is the capital of Kazakhstan. It's in the central part of Kazakhstan, on the river Esil. It has a population of over sіх hundred thousand people. Astana is famous for its modern buildings. The popular buildings are the monument of Baiterek, the Circus and the entertainment centre of Duman. Astana also has a problem with traffic. There are many cars on the streets. That's why the city is noisy and crowded.

Dauren spend two weeks in Turkey with his parents. Nina went to Russia for three weeks with her mother. Dauren and his parents flew to Istanbul and then drove to Marmaris. Nina and her mother flew to Moscow and then took the train to the town.

Dauren stayed in a hotel near the beach. Nina stayed with her grandparents.

When Dauren came back to Almaty, he stayed at home for the rest of the holiday. Nina spent two weeks with her aunt in St. Petersburg.
