Тема: « Should Schoolchildren Work or Not ? »

Цели: 1.Формирование лексических навыков говорения по теме « Schooldays and Work» .

2.Развитие навыков ведения дискуссии на английском языке.

3.Развитие навыков чтения с различной стратегией.

4.Развитие толерантного отношения к мнению другого человека.

Задачи: 1. Активизация новых лексических единиц.

2.Развитие умений и навыков устной речи по теме "Schooldays and Work":

- обмен мнениями;

- микро -диалоги.

3.Совершенствование навыков речемыслительной деятельности (сравнения, обобщения и развитие логического мышления).

4.Расширение общего кругозора.

5.Развитие познавательной активности через содержание материала.

Ход урока

1.Оргмомент .We continue working at the modul «Schooldays and Work » Today we try to discuss the problem «Should Schoolchildren Work or Not? »

2.Фонзарядка. Activities, to go clubbing, to do airobics ,a cinema-goer, to program computers, to learn hard, to work hard, after-school jobs, to appreciate money, to gain experience, to gain skills, to be on time, to be responsible for, to dig into parents pockets, to hand out money, enough cash, odd jobs, in my opinion, to look forward to.

3.Речевая зарядка.At the previous lesson we have spoken about your hobbies and after-school activities. Now I want to ask you some questions.

1) What activities do you do in your spare time?

2) I see your activities are rather expensive. Where do you get money for your hobbies?

3) Do they hand out you enough cash?

4) Would you like to earn some extra cash? (Yes, I would. No, I would not.)

5) Have you got any after-school job? (No, I haven't but in summer I worked as a… Yes, I have. I work as a…)

6) How about doing some odd jobs? ( I haven't thought about it. My parents mind my working during a school year.)

4.Развитие навыков чтения текста с различной стратегией.Now look at the blackboard, please. Read the texts and guess who is talking about odd jobs:

a) a teacher;

b) a company manage.

Well, read the texts again and answer the questions:

1) Who doesn't like the idea of after -school jobs? Why?

2) Why do teachers say that school is more important at this age? ( Children learn quickly. They must learn a lot of things. School subjects are rather difficult. Pupils must spend much time on studies. They will have to take exams.)

3) Why do companies give jobs to teens? ( They have a lot of energy. They learn quickly. They work hard.)

4) What good habits can kids learn if they work? ( They learn how to be on time, how to be responsible, how to be independent.)

5. Дискуссия по теме.

Now I want you to discuss the problem " Should schoolchildren work or not?" Divide into 2 parts , please. Some of you are teaches, the others are company managers. Get ready to discuss this problem in a minute…

Well, begin, please.

6. Расширение кругозора учащихся.

Do you know these names as Walt Disney and Bill Gates?...

Do you know anything about their schooldays?...Well, read the information about their childhood and youth. What new information have you learnt of them?

7.Устная речь о работе во время каникул.

Well, we have discussed the problem of after-school jobs. But what can you tell about summer jobs?

Did you work in summer?

Was it difficult? (It was difficult to get up early in the morning; because of high temperature; because it was a dirty job. It was easy enough.)

Should teens work in summer?
