Цели урока:

• знакомство с новым лексическим материалом по теме;

• развитие самостоятельности, творческих способностей, быстроты мышления;

• воспитание уважения к знаменитостям других стран;

• развитие речевых умений по теме (говорить, переводить, писать);

• сопутствующая задача - скрытый контроль сформированности речевых умений.

Оборудование: доска, таблица, магнитофон.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

T: Goodmorning. Glad to see you.

Who is on duty today? Who is away? What day is it today? What is the date today?

II. Определение темы урока

Today we have a new theme "Special people"

III. Работа с лексическим материалом по теме.

Look at the people in the photos and say why you think they are or were special. Say some sentences about them to the class.
