Of the Demonstration English lesson in the system of Learner-Centered Education and modernized curriculum.

Grade: X th B / Theme: "Health and Wellness."

Objectives:

-To develop speaking skills through a wide range of tasks based on giving information; cross-cultural and cross-curricular competences.

-To exchange and justify opinions and ideas, compare and contrast them.

-To develop positive attitude to healthy way of life.

Sub. Competences:

-Selecting information from several texts to perform a structured work task.

-Writing an informative paragraph to present opinions and views on a given topic.

-Identifying key information from audio or video messages.

Strategies: brainstorming, mind-map, matching info, monologue, pair-work, group-work, making mini-posters.

Materials: computer and multimedia projector; tape-recorder; self-made posters; illustrations; handouts.
