Christmas (7 класс)

Цель мероприятия:

создание условий для формирования обучающихся интереса к культуре и традициям изучаемого языка; развитие языковых способностей и творческой активности учащихся.

Dear friends! You are welcome to our Christmas party! Please, take your seats! All of you are learning English and we hope it will be interesting to you to learn more about this holiday and the way it is celebrated.

What do you know about Christmas?

People in Europe celebrate it on the 25th of December. We celebrate in on the 7^th of January. In the weeks before Christmas people are very busy. They make or buy Christmas cards and send them to their nearest and desert.

People buy Christmas trees and decorate them with garlands, colored balls and lights. There are beautiful Christmas decorations in the streets. On Christmas Eve everybody puts their presents under the Christmas tree. Children hang their stockings on their beds. They believe Santa Claus puts presents into their stockings.

I want to ask you to sign postcards to another team. You can wish each other anything you want.

Дети пишут пожелания друг другу, после чего учитель зачитывает пожелания вслух.

Let`s sing the song Jingle Bells.

Учитель раздаёт детям текст песни, все вместе поют Рождественскую песню.

Are you ready to watch the movie about this amazing holiday? Please, be very attentive. I`ll ask you some questions after it.

Учащиеся смотрят мультфильм-сказку о Рождестве, отвечают на вопросы.

Did Santa fell ill?
Who came to his place?
What did they bring to Santa?
Did Santa Claus know every child by name?
Which present did Santa love best?
What did Santa give to each child?
Did you like the story?

Let`s believe in a fairytale and write letters to Santa Claus. Write what you would like to get for Christmas. Try to be honest.

I hope your dreams will come true soon. I wish you to be healthy, happy and study well.
