Unit 4. Sport is fun.

Урок 1. Виды спорта

Цели урока:

1. Введение лексики по теме «Спорт».

2. Первичное закрепление введенного лексического мате­риала в устной и письменной речи.

3. Совершенствование навыков чтения.
Оборудование: картинки по теме «Спорт».

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

• Good morning, boys and girls! (Good morning!)

• I haven't seen you for ages. I am glad to see you again. (We are glad to see you too.)

• How are you? (We are fine, thanks. And how are you?)

- I am fine, thank you. Sit down, please. Let's start our lesson.

После приветствия обращаю внимание детей на вы­сказывание, заранее записанное на доске. Ученики читают пред­ложение вслух, переводят его и высказывают свое мнение, согла­шаясь или не соглашаясь с данным высказыванием.

- I am sure all people would like to be happy and healthy. They say, "Sport helps us to be healthy". Do you agree with the proverb? Why? Why not? (I agree with this statement. I think people can buy different things but they can't buy their health. Sport helps you to be strong and slim, to look beautiful and to be in
a good mood. I disagree with the statement. In my opinion, if you have money you will visit good doctors and buy good medicine. It is not necessary to go in for sports.) Etc.

П. Введение и фонетическая отработка новой лексики по теме «Виды спорта и спортивные игры»

- It was very interesting to know your opinion. Different people like different types of sports. What types of sports can you see in the pictures? Let's learn to pronounce them. Will you read them one by one? Now I want you to read the words from exercise 3, page 100 in pairs. Can you choose the names of sports games.

привлекаю внимание учащихся к картинкам по теме «Спорт», заранее развешанным на доске. Ученики сначала самостоятельно называют различные виды спорта, а затем я предлагаю повторить слова из упр. 3, стр. 3 за диктором. Ученики читают слова из данного упражнения хором, в парах и индивидуально. Дополнительное задание для учащихся: выбрать из списка слов названия игр (hockey, football, volleyball, baseball, etc )

III. Ознакомление с лексическим материалом по теме «Спорт»

• Do you know how to use the words "sport" and "sports'"' Let's read the examples from exercise 2, page 101 in your textbooks. Can you translate the word combinations with the word "sports"? Make up the sentences with these words. Ученики зачитывают вслух и переводят слова и словосочетания из упр. 2, стр. 100 из учебника. Я поясняю значение и употребление слов sport и sports. Ученикам предлагается приду­мать предложения со словосочетаниями из данного упражнения.

IV. Активизация введенной лексики в устной речи

- And now it's time to practise today's vocabulary. It is interesting to find out what types of sports you like and dislike. Answer my questions, please.

Организую вопросно-ответную работу по теме «Спорт». Ученики отвечают на мои вопросы.По­буждаю детей давать полные ответы на поставленные вопросы.

Примерные вопросы:

1. Are you fond of playing football?

2. Do you like swimming?

3. Can you play tennis well?

4. Have you ever taken part in sports competitions?

1. What do you prefer: to watch sports competitions or to take part in them?

5. Does sport help you to keep fit?

6. How often do you go to the sports ground?

7. What sports are popular in your family?

8. Do you want to be a sportsman?

10. Are you good at running (swimming, skating)? Etc.

V. Физкультминутка

Предлагаю ученикам выучить новое стихотворение для физкультминутки и выполнить соответствующие движения.

- It's time to learn the new poem. Listen to me and try to un­derstand it.

Two little feet go tap, tap, tap.

Two little hands go clap, clap, clap.

Two little feet go jump, jump, jump.

Two little hands go thump, thump, thump.

VI. Введение страноведческой информации по теме «Спорт»

- People from different countries like different types of sports. What sports are popular in Russia (America, Great Britain, Norway)? Look at the pictures of exercise 1, page 100 and match the pictures, the sports and the country. Who has fin­ished? Your time is up. Name the type of sport, the number of
the picture and the country.

организую выполнение упр. 1, стр. 100 из учебника в устной форме. Сначала учащиеся в течение 2-3 минут выполня­ют задание данного упражнения самостоятельно, а затем по оче­реди вслух зачитывают по одному виду спорта, называют номер картинки и страну, с названием которой ассоциируется данный вид спорта.

VII. Совершенствование навыков чтения и устной речи

- Will you read the task of exercise 4, page 100? Read the de­scription of the sports and name them. Are you ready to say what sports people are talking of? The next task for you is exercise 5, page 101. Think of your own description of one type of sport. Divide into groups of three and make up a short
story.

Упр. 4, 5, стр. 100-101 из учебника выполняются учениками в устной форме. После .выполнения данных упражнений я предлагаю детям разделиться на группы по три человека и со­ставить свою загадку - описание одного вида спорта.

Примерные загадки:

1. This game is played by two teams. There are six players in each team. They play game on an ice field. (Hockey.)

2. It is a team game. Two teams hit a large ball with their hands over a high net. The ball is not allowed to bounce on the ground. (Volleyball.)

3. It is a game of two players. Each player starts with sixteen different playing pieces. They move the playing pieces on a board. The aim of the game is taking your opponent's king. (Chess.)

VIII. Подведение итогов урока

- We have learnt a lot of new words on the topic "Sport" and found out what types of sports you are fond of. Our lesson is over. Who wants to recite a poem?

Подвожу итоги урока, дети декламируют стихотво­рение, разученное на предыдущих уроках, и я прощаюсь с детьми.
