Theme: Degrees of comparison of adjectives

The objectives of the lesson:

Educational: recycled degrees of comparison, to train the pupils in the use of adjectives and enrich their vocabulary stock.

Developing: to develop reading, writing, listening, speaking skills; to develop pupils' interest in learning English.

Bringing up: to bring up interest and respect to the language, to be responsible and intelligent.

Visual aids: tables, pictures, cards

Type of the lesson: mixed.

The Procedure of the lesson:

I.Organization moment.

Greeting.

• Good morning, children!

• Good morning, teacher!

• What date is it today?

• What day of the week is it today?

• What's the weather like today?

T: Today we are going to practice using degrees of comparison, making up sentences comparing similar things.

II. Warm- up.

Work in pairs.

Look at the board, read the poem "What's the weather like?" and complete it putting in adjectives.

When the weather is… (wet)

We must not fret.

When the weather is… (cold)

We must not scold.

When the weather is… (warm)

We must not storm.

But we thankful together

Whatever the weather.

III. Phonetic drill.

Read the poem again.

IV. Practice.

1. Complete the chart. Translate the adjectives into Kazakh and Russian.

4. Look at active board. Make sentences with the comparative or superlative form of the adjectives in brackets.

c) Good health is better than wealth. (Жақсы денсаулық байлықтан да қымбат.
