Give Ss cards of 2 different colours.
Write 3 things that you did yesterday.
Ex.: I met my friend. I went to the cinema. I did shopping.
Ask them to write their 3 things.
ICQs: 1) Do you write about the present or past? 2) How many sentences should you write?
Ask Ss to crumple the paper and throw it. Then Ss pick up a paper of different colour.
ICQs: 1) What colour can you pick up?
Ask Ss to find the owner of the paper, asking general questions.
ICQs: 1) What questions should you ask?
2) How do we start general questions in the past? Look at my sentences and try to ask me questions.
