Scene 1

A storyteller: Winter… Christmas… New Year…Snow is failing down. It's cold and snowy.

The Snow queen: (смотрит в зеркало): All people are merry and happy. Christmas is coming. Children are singing and dancing. But I am so lonely.

Gerda: Granny, who is The Snow Queen?

Granny: The Snow Queen lives in the North. She is very beautiful, but cruel.

Gerda: I am afraid of her.

Kay: You are a silly little girl. Look, I will open the door and go out. I'm not afraid of anybody.

Granny: The weather is bad, you'd better to stay at home. How is your eye?

Kay: There is something like a piece of glass, but it doesn't hurt.

Gerda: But it's awful to have something in your eye. Can I help you?

Кай смеется и убегает

Granny: Our Kay can't live among people now. May be The Snow Queen has taken him.

Gerda: But I want Kay to be here. I'll go and take Kay from The Snow Queen.

Granny: Be careful, please. Bye!!!

Gerda: Bye Granny!!!

Scene 2

Gerda: I am tired. I have been looking for Kay for so long. But I must go on and find my brother.

Встречает принца и принцессу

Prince: Who are you? And what are you doing here, young lady??

Gerda: I'm Gerda. I'm looking for my brother. I'm going to go to the North. I must find the Snow Queen.

Princess: It's a long way.

Prince: We'll give you a carriage.

Princess: And I'll give you a coat, a muff, and boots.

Gerda: Thank you very much.

Scene 3

A storyteller: Everything is all right! Gerda is going in the carriage. The poor boy will be saved. Quite! What's there? Robbers!!!

Gerda: Dear robbers, please let me go. Kay will die without me.

The main little robber girl: Don't touch her. She will plays with me. Give me your muff, your hat. What's your name???

Gerda: I'm Gerda, I'm looking for my brother. Let me go.

The main little robber girl: I can't let him die, and I can't let you go. What shall I do???Nobody can fight Snow Queen. She is so powerful. But you are so brave, that nobody can stop you. Go away and I wish you good luck.

Scene 4

Звучит метель на протяжении всего диалога, до тех пор, пока Кай вспомнит Герду

A storyteller: An ice hall in Snow Queen's kingdom. The Queen sits on her throne and Kay plays with ice.

The Snow queen: Would your like more ice-cream?? You can have as much as you wish.

Kay: No, thank you. I don't want any.

The Snow queen: If you are sad, we will play an ice ball.

Kay: It's boring.

Gerda: Good afternoon, Kay!!!

Kay: Who are you???

Gerda: I'm Gerda and you are my brother. Let's go home.

Kay: Gerda, I remember!! I'm glad to see you. I want to go with you. Let's go.

The Snow queen: Kay wait, you will be a prince. You'll get everything you want.

Kay: We are not afraid of you. Go away!! Thank you Gerda, you've saved me. Let's go.
