The British Constitution

^The UK not have a written constitution. This doesn't mean however that Britain does not have a formal and controlled system of government.Citizens' right are made up from a combination of:-common law

-conventions

The UK has three branches of power:

Legislature - Parliament which consists of Her Majesty (HM) the Queen, the house of Lords and the House of Commons.

Executive- The Government: Prime Minister, Cabinet ministers, junior ministers

Judiciary - the legal system of courts, judges and lawyers.

In short, Parliament makes laws and the government puts them into effect; law courts interpret laws.

The Queen is the head of all three branches: head of the executive, Part of the legislature, head of the judiciary and Commander in Chief of the armed forces and Supreme governor of the Church of England.

The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan

I hi current Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was endorsed in a national referendum in August 1995 and ratified the following month. The Constitution provides for a democratic secular state and a presidential system of rule. State governance is divided among the executive, legislative and judicial branches. The President is considered the head of state. In October 1998, the Constitution was amended to provide a seven-year presidential term. The first election under this Constitution was held in January 1999 and resulted in the reelection of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Abishuly Nazarbaev.

Her Majesty's Government

Her Majesty's Government is the body of ministers responsible for the conduct of national affairs.

The Prime Minister is appointed by the Queen, and all other ministers are appointed by the Queen on the recommendation of the Prime Minister,

The Prime Minister is also, by tradition, First Lord of the Treasury and Minister for the Civil Service. The Prime Minister always sits in the House of Commons.

The Prime Minister is responsible for the allocation of functions among ministers and informs the Queen at regular meetings of the general business of the Government.
