Who is the best?

Teacher: Good afternoon. Dear teachers, pupils and guests! You are welcome to our leader club and to our party «Who is the best?». Today we will define the best leader. -The participants, introduce yourself.

-Thank you. I wish you good luck! Everyone will get a point for the correct answer in the competition and at the end of the party we`ll see who is the best. (Жюри мүшелерімен таныстыру)

Now I will introduce you with the process of the game. Our game consists of four stages.

1. «Answer the questions».

2. «Guess the riddles».

3. «What do you know about these countries? »

4. «Who is the best? »

-Now let`s begin the game. Our first stage is «Answer the questions». At this stage you must answer my questions. For each correct answer you will get 10 points.

- When is the St. Valentine`s Day celebrated? ( 14 February)

- What is the currency of the USA? (Dollar)

- Musical questions. Listen to music. What is the name of this song and what group is it performed by?

-What is the highest mountain peak in Kazakhstan? ( Khan Tengry)

- Name of four seasons (Spring, summer, autumn and winter)

- What was the number of the first English colonies in America? (13)

- The biggest ocean on our planet. (The Pacific Ocean)

- What is the largest museum in London? (The British Museum)

- What are there in the national flag of the Kazakhstan? (Eagle and sun)

- On which river is London situated? (The Thames)

- Translate the proverb «Better late than never». (Ештен кеш жақсы)

- The largest country in the world. (Russia)

- What holiday is celebrated on 22 of March? (Nauruz holiday)

- Musical questions. Listen to music. What is the name of the song and what group is it performed by? («Yesterday» - the «Beatles»)

- How many oblasts does Kazakhstan have? (14)

- The synonym of the word «famous». (Known or popular)

- London is the capital of… (England)

Teacher: That is all. Now let`s count the points.

Next stage. I will give you some riddles and you will try to guess them. Then you must translate these words into Kazakh and Russian. If you give us the correct answer in 3 languages you will get 30 points. Listen carefully.

Teacher: Let`s count the points. That pupils who has gathered less than others must leave our game.

• Now we begin our four stage «Who is the best? ». In this stage one of you who gathered fewer points will choose one envelops. In this envelops there are two letters: A and B. I will read you 15 questions and all answers will start with the letter A or B. The same rules relates to our second participant. Is everything clear for you? Then let`s begin.
