Theme of the lesson: Unit VIII. Step 1.How do I get there?

Aims of the lesson: a) To give pupils some information about the types of transport and adverbs of frequency, like, usually, always, never, sometimes, often, rarely.

b) To develop pupils' skills of reading, speaking and writing.

c) To bring up the feeling of love for the English language.

I. Organization moment:

- Good afternoon, pupils!

- Good afternoon, teacher!

- Sit down!

- Who is on duty today?

- We are on duty today

- Who is absent?

- All are present

- What date is it today?

- Today is the 1st of March

- What day is it today?

- Today is Saturday

- What season is it now?

- Spring

- Sit down

II. Warming up

- What seasons do you know in the year?

- There are winter, spring, autumn, and summer.

Our new unit is about road signs . Open your copybooks and books, write down the date of today and the theme «How do I get there?»

Verbs: have got to do, has got to do.

Jennifer: We live at 20 Adams.

Asel: How do I get there from school?

Jennifer: Go straight on Main Street. Go two blocks. Torn left on Washington. Right on Adams. Our house is on the right. It's not the left.
