Тема урока: " Countries, cities, sights"

Цель урока: актуализация страноведческого материала по темам «Великобритания», «США», «Россия», обучение аудированию с полным пониманием.

Задачи:

1.Образовательная:

- актуализировать и систематизировать изученный ранее страноведческий материал по темам «Достопримечательности Великобритании, США и России», подробно изучить материал о Букингемском дворце, Измайловском Кремле и Библиотека Конгресса через аудирование;

2. Развивающая:

- развить умение аудирования, формировать умение работать в группе, совершенствовать умение монологической речи по теме, развить логическое мышление, память и внимание

3. Воспитательная:

- привить культуру речевого общения, умение слушать своих собеседников, воспитать чувство толерантности и уважения к культуре других стран мира.

Тип урока: урок - обобщение с элементами введение нового материала

Оборудование: компьютерная презентация, карта Лондона, раздаточный материал

Характер домашнего задания: направлено на закрепление изученного на уроке материала, предлагается написать письмо другу о своем посещении Букингемского дворца/ Измайловского Кремля/Библиотеке Конгресса.

1.Организационный момент, приветствие

Let's read the motto of our lesson "It's better to see something once then to hear about it a hundred times". Please, give a Russian proverb to these words. ("Лучше один раз увидеть, чем сто раз услышать"). Do you agree with the motto? We will try to do it today.

2. Объявление темы и цели урока

Can you guess what we are going to do today? You are absolutely right - travelling and visiting different places.Today we're going to have a wonderful trip to such countries as Great Britain, the USA, Russia. You will remember the important facts about these countries, the main cities and places of interest, and you will have a chance to come inside some famous towers and buildings and to have a look at their wonderful collections of different things. Of course like all tourists you'll have guides. Before we start our trip let's see how well you know the history and geography of these three countries.

You're tourists and know a lot. Let your friends learn some important facts about Russia, Britain and America My little niece has cut these cards into 2 parts by mistake. Help me match the beginning and the end. Make sentences about your country; complete the table using the information from the sentences.

Russia

Russia is situated in Eurasia. More than 132 million people live in Russia. The capital of the country is Moscow. Yury Dolgorukiy founded the city in 1147.

The main symbols of Russia are Red Square, the Kremlin and the birch tree.

Great Britain

Great Britain is situated in the British Isles. More than 61 million people live there. . The capital of the country is London. In 47 AD (Anno Domini-нашей эры) the Romans founded Londinium on the river Thames. The national symbols of Great Britain are the Queen, Big Ben and double-deckers.

The United States of America

The United States of America are situated in North America. The population of the USA is more than 309 million people. The capital is Washington. It was founded in 1790 and named after the first president.

The national symbols of the country are the Statue of Liberty, The Stars and stripes, Uncle Sam.

These pictures are really fantastic, aren't they? I'm sure you would like to see all these things with your own eyes. Now you 'll have such a chance. The first city we 'll travel to is London. Choose any sight you like more (на доске представлен список из нескольких достопримечательностей Лондона, Вашингтона и Москвы) and we're going to … Buckingham Palace! A good choice! Our guide will show you all the beautiful things inside and tell you a lot of interesting facts about them. When you listen make notes in the table. I hope you will be very attentive as all tourists are. Try to remember as much as you can and be ready to do the task after the tour. You know I asked some of your classmates to prepare excursions. Good afternoon! I'm Nastya and I'll be your guide today in Buckingham Palace.

Buckingham Palace is the official London residence of the Queen. If the Queen's flag is flying outside the palace, it means that the Queen is at home. If you are in London between August and October you can go inside Buckingham palace. Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms and 78 bathrooms. Let's come in and have a look at the most beautiful rooms of the palace. This is the Grand Hall and marble stairs of the Grand Staircase. Here is The Green Drawing room. Many fine portraits of the royal family are on the walls of this room. There is also the White Drawing room. The room got its name because of the colour of the walls. The State dining room is one of the main State Rooms. It is red, white and golden. There is a table where 60 people can sit and have meals. This is the Throne room. Here the Queen meets guests on special days. There are a few throne chairs for the members of the royal family. The Queen's Gallery is large. You can find beautiful paintings, statues, different pieces of furniture there. Have a look at the Gold State Coach. The Queen uses it. The Ball Room is the biggest in the palace. The Queen's guests take part in ceremonies and parties in this room. In summer time you can visit exhibitions here.

Hello everybody! Nice to meet you! My name is Zaur and I'd like to show the treasure of the Library of Congress.

The Library of Congress is one of the most famous places in Washington. Today it is one of the world's largest and most beautiful. It started as a library in 1800. Now the Library has three big buildings -Thomas Jefferson Building, John Adams Building, James Madison Memorial Building. They are in the United States Capitol. There are more than 80 million things in collections of books, newspapers, manuscripts, films, maps, works of drama, music and art. There is a great number of important and interesting documents from American history. Members of Congress can find all the important materials here. The Main Reading room is open to people for studies and tourists who can see it from a balcony. This room is circular in shape. There are eight large marble columns. There are 16 bronze statues near the columns. The dome of the room is really wonderful.

Welcome to Russia! I'm Yana, your guide. You 've made a excellent choice coming to the Izmailovo Kremlin. Hope you'll enjoy our tour!

The word Kremlin means "fortress", a building to defend a town. The Kremlin in Izmailovo is made of stone and wood. It has towers, palaces and churches inside. You can enjoy a wonderful view from the Bell Tower: wooden buildings with museums, the souvenir market built in the Old Russian style, the wooden Church. In the Palace of Russian Dining you can taste dishes of different Russian regions and nations. You can come and take part in celebration of traditional Russian holidays and festivals. The Kremlin in Izmailovo is a wonderful complex in the north east of Moscow. Here everyone can find things to see and to do: interesting holidays, tours, master-classes, tasty meals in the restaurants and cafes. Children can play funny games, grown-ups can visit museums, people can also celebrate their marriages here. There are presents and souvenirs, horse riding, feeding birds and lots of other things to do. The Kremlin in Izmailovo has a few museums: the Museum of Russian Toys, the Museum of Russian Costume and the Museum of bread.
