Our School

School plays a very important role in the lives of pupils, their parents and of course teachers. School years are the time of great expectations and great emotions. School offers to its pupils the opportunities to develop their abilities, satisfy their curiosity and show themselves as individuals.

Now I can say that I am happy at school. I believe school is not only walls, but walls are also very important. I'm proud that I'm a pupil of Arkhangelsk Classic Town Gymnasium N°3. It is famous for its high-quality education. Our school is located in the centre of the town. The four-storeyed building is hosted a gym, a canteen, a library and some classrooms on the ground floor. It's very convenient to have a canteen at school, because we can have a snack or lunch there. Our library has lots of books, encyclopedias, maps and other important things to help us with our home tasks and enlarge our outlook. The primary school occupies the first floor, a biology classroom and a workshop for girls is also there. The second floor is dedicated to Russian and History. But there you can see a chemistry classroom and the teachers' room. On the third floor there are some classrooms for Mathematics and Physics and Information Technology. Eleven classrooms of Foreign Languages are situated on every floor of our school. Their walls are decorated with the pictures of famous British, American, French sights. All classrooms are cosy, up-to-date and well-equipped. We try to keep our school clean and tidy.

The teachers of our school are professionals. They do their best to help us study. But without their talent for finding vivid examples and for explaining the most difficult things in a simple way most of us would not be able to study well. Everyone loves our teachers for their care about us and good knowledge of subjects. I think that the knowledge I get from my teachers will help me enter a University and become an educated person.

My favourite school subject is ... because it is useful and interesting.

Besides nowadays we can't imagine our future career without any foreign language. I suppose the knowledge of a foreign language, preferably English, is essential for an educated person who expects to find an interesting and a well-paid job in future. But I'm not very good at ... and .... . For me these subjects are hard nuts to crack.

But school life is not only lessons and home tasks, which takes a lot of time. I have got many good friends among my schoolmates. Some of them are my classmates, I'm happy because we are very friendly. We help each other in difficult circumstances. During the breaks we speak about everything in the world and share all our secrets. It is great to have so many friends. That is why I can say that I am really satisfied with the school I go to, with the quality of education I received and with my own participation in the school activities.
