  1. Организационный момент.

Good morning, boys and girls! I'm glad to see you.

T: Well, what English-speaking countries do you know?

That's right. Would you like to visit some of these countries?

  1. He was the first person to be elected the President of the United States. He was born in Virginia, just south of Washington, D.C. He grew up on a large farm. He went to school for about eight years. He especially liked to study mathematics. He led the American army in many battles during the War of Independence. (George Washington)

  2. He was the third President of the USA. The Declaration of Independence was written by him. Inside his memorial there is a 19-foot statue standing on a 60-foot pedestal. His writings are inscribed on the walls of the Memorial. (Thomas Jefferson)

3) This President taught himself how to read and write. He became the 16th President of the USA in 1861. He wrote the Emancipation Proclamation, which freed the blacks in the South from slavery. You can also find his Memorial with a huge statue of the former president inside. (Abraham Lincoln)

4) He was the youngest President the USA has ever had, but he was President only 2 years and 10 months. He was assassinated in 1963. His aims were equal rights for all Americans - white or black - and peace in the world.
